If you pause at 1:36 you can see a new type of minion dead on the ground! You also see this minion dying at 1:58. Also, at 1:48 you see them battle the Kirin, I guess it isn't a new pet. Anyways, thanks so much, this is totally awesome!

Dude! How'd you know they are called Kirin!

The same way people know that a 1 eyed humoid is a cyclopse, a horse with 1 horn on it's head is a unicorn and a horse with wings is called a pegasus, a snake eating its own tail is called oroburous.

wow could not stop from going back and forth and pausing the video.

The Kirin has been posted a few times in the forums. (@ gurus it's at the factions gallery - one of the concept art provided by guildwars.com)

Here's what I enjoyed seeing.

-monk armor, (hope that was a player not a hench) + the new monk arms tattoo? (in one of the scenes seconds after kirin fight?, where you need to pause to see it to see it)

-that warrior summoning some oriental giant ghostly hero. correction:it didnt annihilate the mob, it looked more like a "buff" or "boost" for player or party.

-new monsters looked great. big, alien.vs.pred-like.

-swords - I think one of them was the contest winner one but modified ( of course I could be wrong)

-just double-wow.
-gonna watch it a few more times and examine the new stuff.

at a guess, i'ld say that thing that the warrior summons at the end is an elite that was mentioned in a review that provides the team massive protection as long as the warrior himself doesn't move.

Doesnt really look like it, that sword has 1 giant hole in it.

ye thought so too. if you pause enough and get the right angle. at the point where she holds it horizontally. theres a few glowy/lighting effects/sections meaning holes running from top to bottom of the sword.

anet did say the contest winner concepts wouldnt necessarily be used exactly and could just be the base that is used.

You see on the right of that picture? Is that the minion that they were talking about that could leave a corpse that could be exploited? I remember ANet talking about that as a new skill in Factions.

I believe the huge pot is where you hold the rit spirit. ive seen it in GWF pvp event.

So, flesh golem pets will not look similar to the flesh golems in fire islands? (they looked more like flesh trolls.hehe.)
Unless those arent flesh golems and it's another type of necro creature summoning that we just havent read about or mentioned.

Not sure at all, but given the entry and the artistic freedom between the concept and the final, I'd be willing to say it "might" be the same

I would really like some more options for my MM. He is just begging for a minion that could cast or one that deals out as much damage to those Aataxes as he takes from them. Thats it! Maybe a minion whose strength is based off what you summoned it from. It would automatically target the strongest corpse. And there could be another skill that raises minion casters from dead casters that works the same way.
