Bonus to Dragon's Lair Killing Glint!!

Has anyone ever done this? I have tried a few times with random people, but I think I have a build that could take her down ... tell me what you think:




2 Prot Monks with Pacifism equipt .... Glint can't attack this way

2 Necro's with siphoning ability .... Pacifism ends if the target takes damage...

2 Rangers ... interrupting is always nice .... also a few trapps just in case

1 or 2 Healers..... I guess this could be optional.

1 Something ... probably a damage dealer to get through the rest of the quest...


I'm not sure if it'll work out how I'd like it to but this is about what I'd like it to do:
-someone grabs the egg

-Monk A cast Pacifism

-Necro A and B do stack as much life degen as possible (with curses and blood magic)

- Monk B cast pacifism whenever Monk A's Pacifism wears off .... (maybe time it with something?)

-Rangers are always on hold to interrupt if necessary

-basically "rinse-wash-and-repeat" until Glint dies.....





I've been wanting to try this out for a while now, but I can never get the right people. And seeing as comunication would be a huge thing maybe TS would be handy? Anyway I think that this would be a guild project, if any happens to try this out and it works let me know some how .... if it fails let me know that too

Use the egg trick

1. Tank holds the egg and stands next to Glint
2. MOnks focus healing on Tank
3. Rangers intterupt Glints skills.
4. Everyone else just hits Glint

Did it really easily the other day and the Ranger (me) and the Tank were inexperienced but it was still a breeze

try the ranger trapper trick

lay down, say 10000 traps while shes your ally, pick up an egg, skip scene, shes not yr ally anymore, traps instagib her, game over.

all you need is 1 prot monk with prot spirit and a ranger that can interrupt (the other 6 random). It's really easy.

One ranger with ignire arrows can bring Glint down easlily...

The key thing is interrupt, and don't hit her when the reverse elemental damage thingy or the melee spike skin is up.

Egg dodge is the easiest way...boring for the person holding the egg, but..

All you do is grab an egg, and sidestep back and forth, dodging her fireballs.

The other 7 ppl are free to pummel her...just make sure you have someone that can interrupt that one skill she has that gives her +7 regen and heals from elemental dmg.

how i did it -

me , a warrior/necro, ran around with glints egg and when i was nearly dead i used grenths balance one her for about 400dmg (and a full heal) ...rinse and repeat

Crystal Hybernation, interrupt that and its over.

arrent all the elite skills that you can cap while playing the mission there to cap for a reason, just like Dahnel said, he used Grenths and it worked well. Im guessing if everyone capped a skill or used the ones in there it would be very easy.

Does knockdown interrupt Glint?

Necro with grenths. Tell the necro to get his health low then cast Grenths balance it will easily do over 200 dmg if done right.

Ok I killed Glint and it was so-so. I wouldnt go with ranger interrupts just because you may miss if you dont have a fast flight time bow. Mesmer interrupts nearly instantaniously and that's how I beat her. You need monks to all have some kind of hex removal too or everyone will exhaust their e.

The thing is that you cant go with a "kill glint" build or you wont make it to her. Go with a regular quest set up but sub in a blood nec and a mesmer (or ranger if you are desperate). One prot monk with prot spirit and one healer - blood them now and then - glint dies. No big whoop.
