Roll of Velum, where to get?

Hi folks,

I was just out @ Granite Citadel and had a look at the 15k Armor for the monk. I want a Acetic Chest Design fpr my monk and i thougt: wow "only" 8k WTF whats wrong here. But then i got stuck and though: ??? Whats Velum? I had a look at a Rare Material trader and nearly got a shock... 200G for 1 roll...

i bought one just to see resell price... its 100 G so the market price should be around 110 - 150 but my problem is: that mor than 15k only for material

so: where to farm this Velum Rolls ?

any hints tipps?

Tons of people are buying and no one is selling. That's why the prices are so disperate. You can have it crafted for you. The guy in the Ascalon Foothills by the statue of Grenth can do it for you, but I don't remember what he requires. The guy outside the Sardalac Sanitarium is much easier to get to, but I don't remember if he does this. There's one more in the Desert Northwest of Seeker's Passage if you happen to want some Shrivelled Eyes too.

I will tell you though, by the time you've crafted all you need, you won't be able to afford the 8K.

Also it is north west of droks too

right outside of droks, to the nw is a guy.

20 gold + 5 dust + 5 wood per roll of vellum.

i calculated that u will need 1750 wood and 1750 dust to draft the lot if u start with 0 vellum. Ive nearly farmed all my wood then its off to the UW for dust.

I too want to get find a nice place to get Vellum Rolls too.

I just posted this in the FoW armor thread as well, but the easiest crafter to get to is outside of Maguuma Stade.

For wood go on a Hydra run outside of Augury rock, they drop staves like it's going out of style. Salvage these for wood.

For dust you have a couple of options, UW is prime if you have favor. Otherwise head out from Droks and look for azure shadows. Their remains can be salvaged for glittering dust.

I have 1000 vellum or so stockpiled. Does anyone want to buy? =P

Yea Vellum is expensive. I've spent around 60k alone in
buying vellum for my scar armor. Then another 8k each for
the armor itself. The feathers are easy to get. Just kill a few
Griffons.

Agreed that the Maguuma stade one is easiest to get to.

For dust I've been salvaging enslavement stones from Sorrows Furnace, between 5 and 9 dust per stone.

UW is a great place to get dust, salvage all the demonic remains and phantom residues.

These are also otherwise great places to farm.

The best place to get dust is in the Catacombs in Pre-Sear. Salvage all the spider webs. Of course, if you don't have a free character slot, then Pre-Sear is the hardest spot to get to.

You can also get an insane amount of wood in Tombs. So many staves drop there and most people don't pick them up because they are white or non max dmg. In just one run you can easily get at least a full stack of wood.
