Ever since the update that darkened the window interface background, I have noticed a quite irritating change. My tatoos for my monk, and also my scars for my necro do not display the dye color in the inventory windows. The dye is still there just fine, it's just that the tatoos look plain, no dye color in the inventory windows. It's quite annoying, since for my monk I have 2 different sets of the 15k Ascetic's Armor, one dyed black, one dyed red. So it gets confusing at times switching back and forth, since both look plain in the inventory window. It was nice before this happened, my black tatoos looked black, and my red ones looked blue in the inventory windows. So I guess my point is that I hope they fix it :/ Here's a few screenies to show you what I mean:
Monk Tatoos(black):
Monk Tatoos(red):
Necro Scars(magenta):

My biggest pet-peeve with the tatoos graphic is how when you log off and immediately log back on, the tatoos lose their dye color and go back to light blue temporarily. My tattoos only look nice when black; otherwise, they don't match and look absolutely horrid. I'm praying for a change on that... =P

If they were first dyed after this update, I believe that it is fine. Just a theory, but that's what I believe. It's not a huge problem, but indeed a slight inconvenience to some.

I think what A-Net did was, Change the individual pics for your armor in your inventory so that they display how much of your armor was actually dyed, rather than old pics which showed the whole piece dyed.
So with tattoo's and scar's, when you apply the dye all that changes is the pattern,
I think its better this way, I remember the first time I dyed my druids jacket on my ranger, the whole thing went black and I thought great, the whole thing went black. Then I looked at my guy on the screen and there was only a few cuffs and bands that went black.
I was pretty gutted 'cause it looked so good in complete black then when you saw it you had to look hard to see which bits were actually dyed

That does make sense, and yeah that's what ArenaNet did. But nonetheless, some armor doesn't display a huge difference from dyed and non-dyed, especially tatoos and scars. If you look closely at the tatoos and scars, however, you do see the markings themselves have a tint of your dye color on them, but some colors are hardly visible.

But yeah, I hope they fix these problems for us nudists.
