Monk / Mesmer Self Mirror

I just did my monk/warrior earlier today. I did use a warrior stance to avoid damage every so often, so this advice might not apply, but...
Healing Breeze
Bonetti's Defense
The rest were empty or else maintained enchantment skills that wouldn't help the mirror image. The idea was to have the mirror waste time casting these and have no energy regeneration.
All I did was autoattack and refresh Healing Breeze when necessary. I think I used Bonetti's twice. I have no points in tactics, so it only lasted 5 seconds.
The idea is to exploit the AI. You have to try weird skill combinations.

heh, the way i did it on my mo/me was to max out smiting, and put all the rest into divine favor.....load only 2 spells on ur bar.....zealots fire and divine boon
cast zealots fire before you go in, as soon as he finishes buffing, run up to him and spam divine boon....or everytime u need a heal hit divine boon.....and voila =D very very easy fight

Mesmers are designed to foil a single target
That is why it is very hard to face off against a mesmer mirror. It all comes down to the human element. What can you do with your skills that your mirror can't do?
As a lvl 20 mesmer/necro I had to be pretty creative with my tactics against my mirror. Try to work out a skillset that is tricky and mostly obsolete. The best skillsets will usually have a hard time.
I had to pull out skills that I would never normally use as buffers. I loaded up melee based spells and didn't melee at all. Instead, focused on hexes and then loaded shatter hex to counter my own hexes being cast on me. I would move in close to shatter a hex on me and then jump out of range before my mirror's shatter would go off. Rounded it off with a solid energy burn and I managed out a narrow victory.
You are basically playing against a computer version of yourself. The computer version will always do things by the book, you just need to catch on quick and mix it up a bit.
BTW, Pacifism + Backfire isn't really a combo... if they can't attack, backfire doesn't really work..
