Just to start off with a small topic for us warriors, i am for one to make the tank more dangerous and usefull then they currently are (im not saying super man)
but skills like 100 blades, is an elite skill, but why?!
i like the skill personally, with conjure flame and a fiery sword you hit 4x some dmg..
but why is it called 100 blades?!

Id like to see the skill do allot more dmg or just do more! maybe something in the line of flurry, but faster and every hit x2

But I wish that it was not an Elite.
Imagine having 100 blades and Gladiator defense.

I heard it was an elite due to Illusionary Weaponry but this is unconfirmed hearsay at best.

Hundred Blades is good at what it's suppose to do. If you don't know what that is, experiment with it some more and you'll find out it has its uses.

it's been discussed a million times before...
hundred blades used to not be elite, but IW mesmers were overpowered, so they made it elite (you cant get illusionary weaponry AND hundred blades now, unless you get arcane mimicry - not worth it)

That is true. When Hundred Blades was non elite it would combo very nicely (and therefore nastily) with Illusionary Weapon. Thus being an attack that hit twice and everyone adjacent to foes with the effects of IW which ignores Armor. This attack combo was therefore nerfed. However I believe the real treick would have been to make IW NOT gain adrenaline to fuel Hundred Blades but meh...

You ever notice the Ghostly Hero uses a sword but one of his skills is "cyclone AXE"?

With Strength of Honor, Order of the Vampire, Order of Pain, Hundred Blades has the highest damage of any single warrior attack and its an area of effect, followed next by Final Thrust below 50%. And that is why 100 Blades is good.

IW does not gain adrenaline. Hundredblades costs 10 energy. That is why they are both elite now. Mainly it is elite because ArenaNet thought that they could solve every problem by making skills elite. For a while we gained elites like mad. (have you tried IW with cyclone axe...same effect...not elite)

A. you forgot winnowing, judge's insight, brutal weapon, etc...
B. Final thrust is overshadowed by Eviscerate and Executioners because you dont lose all your adrenaline. Final thrust is only good as a finishing move on the last person (Or an annoying one)
C. Frenzy would have more of an effect when coupled with those skills, wouldnt it?

It costs 5 energy now and the Swing at ajecent foes too was added to make up for being elite. The overpoweredness of the combo came from the fact the 100 blades DOES multiple IW effect by 2 for that hit.

A. Yep thats true. you can get a pretty good combo.
B. If final is the only adrenaline skill you have bring it. My friend who was an ax warrior had no idea how I was doing so much damage in a 1v1 (he was running ax)
C. True that would work both on the target and on you

100 blade isn't meant to come on its own its meant for combos with other skills.

Also I noticed I hit more ppl with 100 blades more often then Cyclone because of balling up bahavior of spike teams.

Hundred Blades is just a non-ranged version of Dual Shot with a weaker weapon and slight AoE that sees minimal use. It definitaly needs a buff, imo. Atleast make it better than Dual Shot.

At the very least, added damage would be nice. As it stands, it is an elite cyclone axe that hits the target twice. Hitting twice, in my opinion, does not warrent it being an elite.

LOL, Hundred Blades is WAY better than Dual shot. First off, for every enemy you hit, you gain 2 strikes of Adrenaline (i.e. you swing at 10 enemies, you gain 20 adrenaline). Plus, you don't suffer from any damage penalty. With just one enchantment, say order of pain, you double that enchantment's effect. All this for only 5 Energy.

You seem to forget that Hundred Blades strikes twice, which provides more damage then Cyclone axe.

Provides more damage than cyclone axe to just 1 target. Think about how many enemies cyclone axe hits in PvE and then think about how many times Hundred Blades hits in PvE. Hundred Blades does not do more damage than cyclone axe as it stands now.

You shoot 2 arrows with Dualshot and get twice the adrenaline, too. Go figure.

Check the official updates page. Each swing on Hundred Blades does 25% less damage than normal, or 75% of the a regular swing.

Enchantments effect Dualshot the same way Hundred Blades does.

Please don't try to argue energy efficiency here... Expertiese+Druid's Armor anyone?

It does when mass amount of monsters are crowded around that one target you choose to use Hundred Blades.

You're a warrior, the only time you should use a bow is to pull.

True, but Dual shot suffers a 25% damage penalty while Hundred Blades doesn't.

Rangers need a somewhat high Expertise to Dual shot to 5 energy or lower. Gladiator's armor anyone?

But it is underpowered in PvP

Yes, but you also fail to see that Rangers don't need Adrenaline. So why didyou bring this arguement up in the first place.

Ok, fair enough. But you do recognize that their Dualshot can have something that Hundredblades can't; Preperations (unless you can't Apply Poison) and that Bows have a higher max damage?

But they don't need a high Expertise to make it more efficient than Warriors. Rangers have 3 pips of Energy Regan and 32 max Energy with Druid's armor. A Warrior has 2 pips of Energy Regan and 27 max Energy with full Gladiator's armor.

Alright, let me rephrase this. Make Hundredblades more distinguishably better than Dualshot.

The #1 Guild in the world used Hundred Blades on all of its warriors (they had 3). I think that says something.

It's an efficient spike+adrenaline builder.
