I have done it with only one other player and the rest henchies. I was very sceptical to begin with but we did it. Well done to your guildie, I would never attempt THK on my own

Yeah, did it too. Had to stop for ten minutes in the middle though, Mhenlo's mom called him for dinner.

I've solo'd it with each one of my pve characters.
Notice though, in th piccy that his skill bar is empty.
Apparently this player did it using only the henchies, watching from the sidelines.
Impressive.

Sure they would I use this setup in random 4x4 pvp quite well. I like the damage of the axe, but, I hate that I can't hamstring quick enough, so I use axe and sword. Kicks butt also. Everything is not cookie cutter made just because you say so. That's why there are 150 skills per character. And no build is perfect, but, many builds can an are more effective than others. Try something out before you go dissing it, because you don't know very much about the game if you don't. (smile)

You're right. He would need TWO swords in his weapon set to achieve a hamstring. In PvE. Where the casters don't run.

With the new AOE scare of NPC's hamstring comes in quite handy in fact (smile)

I've done THK with a full henchie team. It's actually surprisingly easy if you have a running skill so you can aggro every mob that enters (you have to stay at the bottom in between the two doors).

Not easy but it is doable with only henchies (if you have a lot of time on your hands) ... I beat it with air spiker/shutdown build, staying by throne at end and constantly spamming glim mark with 16 air (and leech sig and power drain as much as possible) at the jades and mursaats. Wasn't pretty or without casualties but it worked

To the rest of you I can assure you its for real. Obviously there will be the people that cry proof and won't accept even a video reel, for those that appreciate a guy who likes his challenges then here you go

He was chuffed, we are chuffed for him. I can also testify that taking henchies through the game is one thing. Using no skills is quite another, for those that think otherwise I suggest you try it, post a screenie from the talk to iron hammer prompt that shows your lack of build and a full set of alive henchies. I'm sure there are many that can out there and maybe it will give you a taste of a game in guildwars you never knew, set those 'impossible' challenges and get more from the game

Personally my task for the game is to solo a beastmaster through the missions... it'll probably take me YEARS to do if at all possible (thinking about THK/Abbadons mouth) but challenges like this are whats worth playing the game over and over in PVE.

First henchies were too weak.
Now they're too strong.

Lol henchies to strong... the world will come to an end first. I think they are fine as they are. Only tweak i'd make is stop them randomly wandering into Fire/Poisen/Tar etc etc, they even doit if the party is totally still.

This is just a bragging post and he is not putting this into the screenshot section because not enough people look there unlike the community section
