Update : Effect on Price of Ectos + Shards?

Hey guys,
As you all know, with the new update, access to the original UW and FoW are disabled. There seem to be reports that ectos are now being dropped in the new Tombs (which is now a PvE area)

As it stands right now, the Merchant sells ecto for 9k, buys for 7k. People are selling at around 7-8k.

How do you think this update will affect the overall price of ectoplasm and obsidian shards? I know those whom are regretting selling stacks of 25 ecto for 7.5k each, and those who predict prices will still drop and are eagerly selling them.

What do you think?

Ecto's do drop alot in that place, we had 1 group of those ghostly knights, that group dropped 3 ecto's...

ehm.. .actually fow and udw from temple of the ages still works. it was a bug fixed with a patch 3 hours ago...
anyway ectos price will go down to 4-5k i presume since they are common now inthe new underworld/ex tombs

About as common as in the normal UW. Had 2 ecto drop on a Black Hole run

All I can say is the new ToPK will make demand for candy canes spike

I just did a run for 2 hours with 7/8 (1 dropped out) in the Tombs UW and only 1 ecto dropped from a Dryder

So why would people panic about ecto prices?

IMO it will go this way

Tombs UW = free but less ecto drops
ToA UW = pay but a higher chance of ecto drops

Not to mention ToPK UW is 10x harder. So you cant really farm ectos there which should keep ecto prices at about the same.

because with the new greens in the tombs, that place is gonna get farmed a lot more. Green farmers from SF and ecto farmers from ToA will join together to make some sort of diabloical new farming team, that will most likely disclude elementalists (why god, why must they disclude us?)

Well... I did a complete run there today, we lost one player after the 1st map, and another one had to leave about halfway through the final map. Nobody got a single ecto in the whole run.... However, I was still happy because between us we netted 6 or 7 of the new green items

im confused they made tombz into a farming place now... omg ive been downloading all day 2kb/sec and im only 28% after logging onto my skye unknow character...

Just did a full clear, 6 greens dropped at the end, 2 per purple darkness , I got no green but I got the only ecto that dropped. Not exactly worth the 2 hours it took to finish.

Byebye 1.5million play fissure armor.
With the way these ectos are dropping they will be as low priced as shards soon

By the time they are that low, Factions will be out and everyone will be rolling head over heals for that new expensive armour.

Meh I don't care about echos and shards never a fan of FoW armor. Fell free to panic don't mind me.... ^_^

That is if they add something comperable to FoW armor.

I am quite sure they will, they need to give people something to work towards
