Pre-Order Now at Ebgames

I just got an call from a friend at game stop and he said that GW:fations is now in there date base for pre-order

Also its strange because thats a friday games come out on tuesday.

But I want a collectors edition

Full price for this expansion/next chapter and we're not to what they'll try to hook you and hit you with for the collector edition. And still no mention of character slots yet for those already with Chp1. Yeesh.

But yeah nice to note '2nd quarter' could mean end of April rather than end of June

I was originally guessing end of April or some time around Memorial Day. End of May is still where my money is at. Gaile said June 30th is the latest it could come out. I don't see them beating that by a solid 2 months.

The Login Screen says "Spring", which I take to be February, March, April + May.

hmm I'm not too sure if I want to pre-order this game seeing as I missed out on a cool item last time. *crosses fingers for Charr plushie in CE*

I'm going to wait and see what's in the CE also. I would like to see the details before pre-ordering it.

I sent a support ticket to anet asking if there is going to be a CE version of Factions. Will post when I get a response.

already confirmed many times and GAILE says the plan is for them to be released at the same time (CE/regular)

Thought I noticed play.com having the release date as March 1st, i thought that seemed too early. I'm going for early May myself

Well, since I wasn't around for the preorder of the original Guild Wars, I have a stupid question:

Was there an official annoucement by GW (ArenaNet, NCSoft, whatever) what the different pre-order items would be before some enterprising youth actually opened the box and found out? Or was it a complete surprise, and the details were filled in later when people got to talking?

I'd love to preorder one, and get a CE copy of another ... so I don't wanna get stuck with a nifty preorder something-or-other that does me absolutely no good

Yes, they gave a list of what pre-order item came from each store.

And you can pre-order the CE (or should be able to eventually - as they have said there is no CE listed yet), not have to pre order one and get a seperate CE, unless you want 2 accounts.

So I won't pre-order til they list what the pre-order items are, and I'll definately pre-order the CE when they do.

Most retailers have been taking orders for the last month or more for factions, but most people i assume like myself are holding off till theres a comfirmed collectors or proper Pre-order package.

ebgames is expensive by the looks of that link, guildwars or factions can be picked up for under £20 in the uk.

actually I wouldn't mind - we're already 'expansioning' at $50 a pop looks like with chapter standalones, even for chp1 owners and this is supposed to happen every 6 months now

CEs are usually another $10-20 on top, I really wouldn't mind a break
Particularly as I'm dedicated to buy 2

that would be refreshing and make a CE more interesting
maybe they'll even make that the way to get the [extra] slots linked to your account... need info!
