Are you in Pre or Post Searing? You're basically at a higher level than the mobs you are fighting and need to move on in order to get XP from mobs again.

Getting no experience when you are at much higher levels than the enemies you are fighting is normal.

See here for details on experience gain.

i quit fighting them. i just run past. not worth the time.
i am post sear.
the only place i get experience is in the BREACH.
what is left for this game.
I have about 7 missions left to complete.
some are going to have me searching high and low (they dont have the green star).
is this really worth playing more ?

it sounds to me like you are still in pre-searing, that means that you should go talk to sir tydus, and make a commitments to go to the acedemy, thats where the real game begins, ur just in the tutorial

I'm going to assume that you are still in Pre-Searing Ascalon. If so, go to Sir Tydus. He will send you on a PvP mission and then a short PvE mission. After that the Searing and the rest of the game await you.

I take that back then he hasn't even started the game.

Buddy... you have SO MUCH more of the game to go. Keep running the main quest missions to move further into the map. Or, run the smaller quests from characters.

PS: My wife says you're a tool.

In your other post (with the exact same subject), you said that you are ,in fact, in Post-Searing. With this in mind, my only advise is to keep on doing the main story missions. These missions will move you to areas with higher level monsters that will give you more experience. (There are also more armor merchants, more PvP arenas, and more skill, etc. in these areas.

no. ive been out of presear for a few days.
ive conquered the breach. need i say more (that took me a day or so to win).
i ve found the girls ghost.
i dont really feel like going back to get her ashes.
but i suppose i eventually will.
there arent really that many things to fight in this game.
i can only get xp if i go to the breach.
its hard to find people to talk to in the game.
maybe ive been playing too much.
but i am getting tired of doing the same thing (breach, ascalon) etc. over and over.
i have 4 areas that i can instantly warp to .
i ahve about 6 missions to go.
4 dont have the green star to guide me, so im blind. which will take forever to solve.
and to top it all off, my stalker cat has mysteriously vanished.

He said the breech is the only place he's getting experiance. Thats not in pre-searing, thats a post searing area.

Monk have you done the great northern wall yet? Thats where the story line begins, and it leads you to fort ranik which then leads you to the ruins of surmia, so on and so forth, theres plenty of experiance after lv 10 even with henchies if your following the story arc. keep lookin, theres deffinatly more to do, i garuntee it.

Also you have to have the charm animal skill equiped to your skill bar for your charmed animal to be around in explorable areas.

Wait a minute, which mission are you up to? It doesn't sound like you've only got seven remaining to me. Or do you mean quests?

Seriously, I've been playing for about 80 hours since I got to level 10, and I haven't even seen all the PvE content. I haven't set foot in PvP yet, either. I don't really know why you think getting 0 experience in one of the first areas is so bad.

my mesmers 14 but from what i understand theres TONS of content to take you even past 20. Yes, 20's the level cap but the best content is supposed to be from lv 20 on.

There are a total of over 20 missions (not counting quests) in this game. Only 4 of these missions are in Ascalon. There is still plenty of things left for you to do. Here is a very good map to help you find your way out of Ascalon: (Warning! May Spoil Game For You)
http://gwforum.ca/moom/GWMap2ndBetaLabeled.jpg

P.S. The quickest way out of Ascalon is to do the main story missions (The big buttons on the map).
