Im sorry, but who in their right mind would take the Tactician's Helm? It looks the same, and doesn't have the +1 Energy! And I don't know of any tactics that would be worsened by having more energy!

Just like profession armor with subpar or even worse-than-collector armor stats. Nobody would buy it in their right mind unless they liked the look of it or thought they couldn't afford the other armors (like that would happen).

but the 15k ascalon helm looks cooler

well, i havent taken a look at the crafter yet for this matter, but have you checked the material costs? some frugal, and i mean REALLY frugal people might choose the worse helm if the materials cost less. this idea also applys to the proffesion armors that have no extra bonus other than the standard for that class. people buy it becuase its cheap. though that armor looks different so its a bit off :P

that accured to me too, its strange they would have a helm like that in this game

i looked at that and tried to figure out wtf they were trying to do by making them cost the same and amount of same materials but one much better then the other. Why in Gods name would someone buy the helm without +1 energy!

+1 Energy hurts your build? Swap weapons and helm to do that energy gain/loss thing that people do with the -energy weapons...

No way in hell would I want to be known as one wearing a "gladiator's" helm! A tactician sounds way cooler!

Wait, why the hell are you using a tactics helmet in the first place? Either get the leutenant's or one of the weapon helmets. End of story.

Gladiator's Helm costs less though (25 iron ingots, 16 hides, 1500g) compared to the Tactician's Helm (requires 25 iron ingots, 4 steel ingots and 1500 gold).

Either you have ascalon/knight gloves or boots or you have a 15k ascalon helm. So it's alright for people to have a tactician helm if they don't have ascalon/ knight gloves or boots. Assuming everyone is tactful and knows that you only need one piece of armour reducing armour
