Is there a petition for 2 new slots instead of 1?

From the newest post about Chapter 2 info, it seems as though they haven't yet decided on how many new slots we are going to get....so shouldn't we try to do everything we can to convince them to give us more than one?

We have over nearly the last year, you think one more petition of the same is going to do any good? They aren't going to give us anymore than they are going to give us.

its pretty surprising that they havent, i think anet has been really good at listening to their fanbase, i wonder why they're so against this

so that people will buy another account, plain and simple

because if they give us 5 slot instead of 4, there will be another petition for 6 slots for all profession and should they accept there will be some asking for 7 slot to cater for the occasional time they would want to play a pvp char and This is only for chap 1.
So be content with four, it is largely enough for anyone. If you must play with all prefossion pay for another key.

I'm done if it's 1 or 2.
I've said it elsewhere so I'll keep it simple - I've been locked out of part of the game with 4, and it'll be the same thing if we only get 1 or 2.

I got a lot of people interested and have 2 accounts for the household.
It's in their hands. If they don't want me as a customer anymore, so be it.

There's no reason for us not to get 4 (more) - it's standalone and new users will get 4 right? Why can't we enjoy pve, unlocks, playing with new players we get interested in the game, and pvp? I don't like a game that makes me nuke long-standing 100hr+ characters to play with new content.

That's all, I'll avoid the soapbox and rant. More money? Won't work here.

they might be generous in chapter 3 but they learned their lession on the UAS disaster.

I would love to have more character slots, and wouldn't mind paying $25 per slot. However, I don't want to buy another account, simply because I'd like UAS on one account, and one account with my PvP Rank.

And what is the UAS disaster?

i like what someone else in a different thread said...in chapter 1 we had 4 slots for 6 different professions, or 66%....now theyre going to give us 5 slots for 8 professions, or 62.5%....so theyre actually lowering the percentage for us, the loyal gamers who will have chapters 1 and 2

I know that I am certainly am not happy with having 4 slots when there are 6 classes and most people want one pvp slot (because I like pvp and cannot afford whatever sup rune or perfect weapon I need for a pvp build I want to use), and I really feel like the game should encourage playing each profession as the primary, because for example playing as a nec is gonna be a hell of a lot different than playing as a war/nec to unlock some of the nec skills you are able to unlock having nec as your secondary. I've got three pve chars that all have beaten the game and are wearing 15k armor, and i'm not about to delete them. I also need my last slot for a pvp slot. I know that if I were to buy factions, I would want to be able to use my existing pve chars there instead of having to start over, and if we will only get 1 more measly character slot, I am absolutely sure that I will not buy factions or any future guild wars game.

during the pre release beta events they had for one weekend all skills unlocked,(Unlock All Skills) and the hardcore pvp people demanded they have it back instead of grinding for it and many of them left.

if they give out x number of slots now it will be a godgiven right to have at least that number in all future chapters.

if they give 1 now they can be generous and give 2 in chapter 3 but no way can they ever cut back if they find they need to.

4 slots just wasn't enough for me.. I have 12. :[

I'm undecided about the issue of extra character slots. When the first news of Chapter 2 started out I assumed there would be another 4 character slots just like Chapter 1. Word around the campfire suggests that if you only have a Chapter 1 account then you get 4 characters slots, and if you only have a Chapter 2 account you will get 4 character slots but your 4 characters are assigned to their specific chapter.

However, if you have a Chapter 1 account and upgrade it with Chapter 2 then you will only have 5 character slots, not 8. You sacrifice 3 character slots in order for all your characters to be able to cross between the chapters. This strikes me as a little unfair seeing as everyone will be paying the same price for Chapter 2 yet those who want to use their existing characters in Cantha, plus try out the new professions would need another account.

Does this make any sense or am I just exposing you lot to the chaotic jumble from inside my head?

The preview at Computer Gaming World states that its gonna be only 1 additional slot. This Sucks Alot.

I would pay more for more slots but anet/ncsoft is beeing greedy and dont care about players' needs at all - they release a 'free' online game with pathetic 4 slot limit and dont even give players who want more slots any decent option to have them. The only way is registering a new account, which is a retarded idea - you have to start from nothing again, NO unlocks, No faction, No fame...
And now we see that things are NOT going to change with Chapter2. Again: you pay for a stand-alone game and can get either a new account with 4 fresh slots or add the key to your old acc and get ONLY ONE! Thats a very harsh PUNISHMENT for players wanting to have skills and stuff from both chapter combined.

Giving us 2 slots instead of 1 costs them nothing! [Edit: I believe that the actual cost of creating new account with 4 slots >> cost of just adding 1, 2 or even 4 slots to an existing account.]
Everyone hates deleting characters he worked hard on, and now we get an option: New account or not being able to play a primary Assa and Ritualist. Both options suck, and the possible solutions are obvious:

*one special PvP-only slot! which would enable players to have 4 pve chars AND still be able to play pvp and have an use for faction and unlocks
*ability to merge accounts!
*if they fear item hoarders so much, make unlocking additional slots a reward for ascending and finishing the storyline with your characters - this way nobody would create many mule characters.

I really hope someone from Anet reads this.

I was going to ask the same question its a bit confusing if u add the both accounts u only get 5 (not official yet i think) but still pay the full price for Chapter 2.

now u can bring characters from chapter 1 on to the chapter 2 after Ascending areas.

Its all a bit confusing why loosing 3-4 slots? just to merge?

i wish they clear this up, its not like its going to damage any $£ on there part to make an Announcement.

and being given an unopened box and installing the game off of the cds and having the cd keys there before me most certainly is not against the tos, sorry big boy.

Slots. We all want them., Arenanet would probably like to give them to us. BUT you forget we don't pay monthly, so 1 slot might not be much in yor eyes, but if EACH person gets one slot, that is much more server space needed.

I'm in a similar boat as CKaz is in. If they only provide one slot I will not buy Chp 2(tho I would gratefully accept it as a gift )& most likely will quit playing GW altogether.
