March Game Updates

Hello there!

You probably noticed that there is a new version of Guild Wars. Today and 6 days ago there were some updates, you can check what the Gw wiki says here :

When you go in the discussion for the March 11 update you can see this comment :


What do you think these 2 updates are about? I'm not sure to understand what they're doing.
Are they collecting some data to spot the multi-clients runners and ban botters?

curious....I think the first update was just what it says: server maintenance, since both guildwars and guildwars2 share the same servers it would make sense from time to time to have to do some work on them, updating, upgrading etc.

as for the 2nd update and those notes! not looking like the same thing there--updating the anniversary information is one thing (I can completely understand this as this year will be 11 not 10 years so some wording and such needs to change), but making it so that multi-launch folks cant use multi-launching anymore ....hope it is just what the notes say and not something they planned....also not sure how this would affect people playing from the same ip (Im not the egghead--that would be my hubby)...since there still are families that play together.....

I don't know what it means either, but I can still use my Guild Wars ML-X, although I haven't used it to unlock the .dat file so I can use the same account more than once.

My cartho made easy texmod files arent working anymore, does that have to do with this update? I've tried several different ones, but none of them show anything.

mine still work --all of them, so unless you are using something along with the texmod, I would say no.

I don't think there ever was a problem with Multi-L after the update, though you always have to DL the files, and restart the game with TexMod to make the mod work.

So far, no change noticed in the game?

Hmm, odd. All I do is launch texmod, tell it where my game is and what pack (just the cartho one) to use, and hit launch, like i've always done. Suddenly just isnt working anymore.
Any ideas on how to fix it? I've tried a fresh gw2 client, redownloading the pack, trying a different cartho pack, and cursing at my screen, but those all seem to not make a difference.

Did you try hitting your pc with a massive hammer?

It has crossed my mind, but I dont have the funds to replace the thing xD

It could be for windows 10.

..... disabling multi launch? at these times?? that'd be stupid, as many use it for a normal cause, not to win pvp and such (not saying noone uses it to "cheat")

Yes, I tried it for a few minutes in my guild hall. The second account had graphic errors (the big white cube) so I stopped.
