Is an in-game promotion for a purchasable expansion to the sequel that plays nothing like the game before it really what you want for a 10-year anniversary? |
If you would get new explorable area's in the jungle (or a dungeon), would you mind it promotes a GW2 expansion? It would be awesome. Any continuity between GW1 & GW2 is good because it can bring people back, and 10 years later your biggest potential audience is in the sequal community - like it or not.
Prolly not what will happen, I'm just saying that if you will touch any area, the jungle would make most sense.

The Last Days Dawn and Defend Denravi quest Titans, will be replaced with Hekkets, Ophil and Gokir. #thehypeisreal
just exploreable versions of proph missions (even if only in the jungle) would be awesome to me, easier to carto, no need for some program only to get a title (they did it right in cantha and elona) and can walk around with normal enemies to sightsee or even farm, for nicholas
thats 1 thing i'd love to see in proph, tbh, so that we can go sightsee/carto and farm for nick.... its a friggin anniversary for proph anyway, cuz it was born (officially) on that day
would be fun to get a new kinda BMP, but then playable with heroes and own skills, to go through time (some GW2 areas, but not in same graphics, must keep the GW1 feeling... and some people keep playing GW1 cuz their computer can handle it, but not GW2... mine cant handle GW2, but i dont like GW2, so its good), and see some stuff you wont see in GW2's storyline, so no spoilers
what 1 person could wish for eh :P
new profs in pre sear (real pre sear, not april fools one) would be fun too
oh well, i guess what we got in the update and the 2 weeks is all we get i guess... i mean, its easy and they have updated it, so no more need to touch GW for them.... until GW2 meets its end, that is, cuz i doubt a GW3 (if ever, hahaha...) would be popular anymore

On some real sh*t; this forum community is rediculously conservative. Like this talk about staff not posting here, or only the right staff. Always these sheltered reactions. this raw hate for GW2. Or these wild conspiracy theories I read the whole time about arena net. So bitter...

Its not that I wouldnt mind see the others post, but its like asking say, the president of russia to report on what the city of boston is doing.....the new people, for the most part, have never even played guildwars--only gw2. So asking them to post here ...serves no purpose. So the folks I want to post would be those who have been actively part of our game.
And as for continuity--they are the ones who have been trying to push us under the rug like we never existed, we completely backed them for years and years while their game was being developed and then when it was released too....and for that we got: no more support, the removal of any new content, and the removal of the rest of the staff for this game. So yeah, we are a little bit ...hurt about all of that. (and if you have seen the posts on their forums etc, you would also see that anything negative hinted at about their precious is removed and the posted banned!)
I guess we will just have to wait and see what 'and maybe a little bit more!' actually means (other than the extension of the 'celebration' to 2 weeks, if it does-------)

I wish I knew what these items are... wait, guess it's a surprise!
As for a little bit more, Cosy, I'd say the next station ArenaNet's update train should stop at is AB (addressing the issue of impossibility to play off the bonus weeks). However, I wouldn't place high expectations of it happening earlier than in 4 months, as it was basically the time it took for them to internally test and update Codex Arena properly.

if I KNEW they were actually going to do the update, then 4 months is acceptable (since that was about the time it usually took them to do real updates in the past anyways
).hound token...hope not, all you have to do to get the pet is talk to an npc, easy enough (now if its a roller beetle token---THAT would be nicer as I have been working on that one for a while--me no pvp hard to get bath faction).
but whatever...it looks like we have something to really look forward to (not opening that same mini burning titan for the 3 straight year would be nice too).
(oh and about 23 hours to wait...if its noon pacific time it starts)
There's a difference between a GW2 promotion that happens to be a dungeon or explorable area of movie tie-in quality and a dungeon or explorable area that's well done on its own and happens to promote GW2. I wouldn't expect any more than the former (and wouldn't even expect the former to begin with) and would rather ANet not jam more things into the game as a reminder of how many fewer years they've spent giving it focused development than not.
