Returning: wondering about Alliance battles

Hey everyone,

Iv tried to come back to GW1 because (like a lot of people) GW2 isnt really the same. As such, I made an account here. I was just curious as to why no one likes AB. It was probably my favorite part about GW1, and was hoping it would be playable again. Sorry if this has been asked before. I used the search function and found nothing relevant.

Hi. It's not a matter of likes or dislikes, actually, it's mostly about the in-game population having dropped by almost 85% compared to the times when Factions was released (9 years behind the game's back do manifest themselves, you know).

The issue itself is something of which the developers are aware, though I'm not sure anyone could promise the returning users that they'll re-obtain exactly the same AB experience as they had back to, let's say, 2008.

The Facebook group Guild Wars: A New Hope has managed to make Alliance Battles happen during non AB bonus weeks a few times
