Anyone else just got a perma ban?

I apparently just got perma banned for selling gold for irl money on my account and I'm pretty sure I've never done that.... Anyone else with this problem?

Some people got this error but i don't know why ... I have an alt banned too but i never do that ...

Glad I'm not the only then... my boyfriend can log one of his alts on, but apparently tons of people got banned then for no reason?

I had a number of accounts banned. I haven't played in awhile and just logged back in to get in free to the underworld. Literally got smack down from Dhuum, I was like WTH is that and then it went to the log in screen.

I sent an email to support looking for more info.

Basically just did the same thing asking what is going on and giving them a long explanation of how and what, let's just hope they reply back tbh.

seems strange since you can go to lions arch and eye and see the lowbies that have been selling since before wintersday.....and they havent banned them.

They actually ban the real players and haven't banned the ones which sell gold... indeed gfg anet.

Update: now it says I've botted instead of selling gold for irl cash on my account... thing is getting weirder and weirder with the minute..

Dude, I have been around since 2005, I've never ever bought gold/sold gold/items whatsoever. I have never botted and I don't even know how a bot works. And I'm serious about that. I don't even know where to find a bot, or where to even buy gold online, but I think all of that takes the fun away from the actual game. See my point? That's why I'm wondering why I got banned and some other people too who are probably in the same shoes as I am currently.

Could very well be Cozy. My GW2 accounts were not banned so not sure what's going on. they are all linked to GW acc now banned

I do agree that some people indeed had it coming, but some actually didn't do a thing ;p.

Just to clear things up. I hope my post wasn't taken the wrong way. It wasn't directed at you specifically. You just posted the reason that I am sure everyone is using, so I was commenting to that.

I am sure most of the people that banned were done-so correctly. This ban wave has been rumored for a while.

I don't know you personally, so I don't know if you were a part of it or not. I was just responding to that post in the generality.
