Our Favourite Skins & Weaponsets

While sipping Brandy and reclining in a red leather armchair in [PhD]'s walnut-paneled Guildhall admiring my collection of relics from days long gone, a thought occurred to me. We all have our collections, and jolly splendid they are too, but there is an unexplored avenue within these collections that I feel needs some attention - our favourite skins. Some of us have entire collections dedicated to a particular skin. But are these your favourite skins?

This thread is dedicated to exploring our own personal favourite skins, and celebrating these favourites by showcasing the very best examples which you have acquired over time.

I shall start by showing my favourites : The elegant and commanding Long Sword; a true Oldschool gentleman's weapon, and the simple yet imposing lines of the Tall Shield.

Dual reduction versions of the tall shield are rare enough, but to have found a r7/16 version with a -2(10%) mod is spectacularly rare. Prenerf items have been my passion since I started collecting, and those mods on that skin shake me to my core.

for ranger... Urgoz Longbow... just pvre awsomeness!!!

but I do have a favorite skin that is worth sharing

Long sword and Tall shield are my 2nd favorite being completely honest. I didn't think they were that popular. There's just something hardy and oldschool about them that makes them so appealing.

But my favorite skins are the Eternal Blade and Eternal Shield. Love the oldschool ghostly weapons.

Honestly favorite combo would be plagueborn shield and sword....


I don't really have any great examples (esp since my shield seems to have gone missing)
closest is r8 15^ench
and a grape r8 14^ench (which I find cool what can i say I find weird stuff cool)

Since I'm an Fire Collector, I'm going to have to stick to non-martial weapons (too heavy for my puny Elementalist arms), and instead focus on caster ones! :>

Staves: It was a close call between Platinum and Celestial. I think Celestial is probably the best/most beautiful staff skin in game, but my q10 Fire Platinum was the first great item I ever got! <3 <3

Wands/Offhands: Easily Wayward Wand and Straw Effigy. Not only are they the Design-A-Weapon contest winners, they look INSANELY good together. My q9 Wayward might be the best fire one I've seen, in addition to being maybe my favorite item in my entire collection! The 20 HCT / 20 HSR / +5e^50 / +5ar^50 is a really nice general combo, too!

EDIT: Ostensibly, I know this is only for Oldschool Stuff, but I must say Celestial Compass is an insanely good skin (right up there with Fans and Effigies for me!), and for that matter, gives me some more practical combat stats (since I can't really ever expect to find a 20 / 20 Fire Effigy or Fan).

I'm looking for screens of the best examples of your favourites though. Not just weapon sets, I want the absolute pinnacle of your own favourite skins. The rarest examples of your favourite skins. So break out the paint programs. I've shown you mine, now show me yours! System, EK, Frog and Burns, I'm talking to you....

Those 3 perfect echos are insane, they are just so uniform. I do agree with the love for Sephis axe going on in this thread. It's such an awesome skin
