Character slots

Has anyone reached the maximum and if so how many?

The wiki discussion has come to the consensus that the maximum amount is 35 but no one offers any proof. Just theories and formulas.

Has this been changed recently I am unable to add an extra character slot for my 29th toon.

Guess you should send a support request. I can't believe they would refuse to sell you something. The store is still the main source of income for this game at this point in its life.

I checked my account manager page, even though I have all 3 campaigns and the NF prerelease bonus pac I have 26 addition character slots listed.

I just sent a request to support I'll post the reply (if I get one).

I apologize for any confusion our previous responses caused. 28 character slots is the maximum amount of slots you can have on your account. As such, I have processed a refund for order number 1040567****. A $10.67 credit has been applied to your PayPal® account and should appear within the next two to three business days.

The serial code associated with the refunded transaction will be disabled.

Did anyone ever get 35 slots?

I had 36.....honest :-P

my screenshot says I did and still do. It was not faked.

I've been thinking about it. I could ask but I don't know if they would tell me or even know but something must have happened with the GW 2 sync. Plus some other GW stuff isn't working, such as the account roll back program.

well, the roll back stopped working a very long time ago (before gw2?) and they just never bothered to fix it (too much work and with their baby taking all the time--why bother?)
I think it has more to do with the store--there are a very costumes that are no longer available as well, so it might be that that messed something up....I do find it strange that if you check your account keys you will see that even if you only have the 3 chapters and eye that you have additional slots (my account with only the three chapters has 2 character slots and 6 additional--so perhaps they see anything beyond one chapter as additional slots now? )

My guess? I think 28 was the max all along as in max you can add.

I bought the trilogy originally which had 6 slots given to you. I am maxed out at 34. 34 - 6 = 28. Cosyfiep has 35 because of the extra slot they got plus the 6 so added 28 as well.

So the max you can have seems NOT limited to an exact number per se. It seems the way they limited the slots was on the number you could add as in 28. So I can't believe someone got in and messed with the software to DECREASE the number of slots total since that makes no sense at all because that would mean someone actually was working on programming for GW1, lol.

The rep contacted probably didn't no the difference between max slotted and max slots added or the the documentation was shoddy. So they thought 28 was it period as a max number. Probably some low level relative newbie with the company.

i love making themed characters, instead of always doing same boring farms (speedclears arent my things, as i'm way too slow for it), plus storage enough that way

i didnt see any notice from anet btw, did i miss that?

I think it was updated by someone posting on this thread since June 2015 is current and there have been no updates since May; so it probably happened a while ago, just no one noticed until recently that it had changed.
