Hi all,

I just set up my router with DD-WRT so that I would have better QOS control. Now I would like to give guild wars the highest priority, but am having trouble finding the settings I need. I need protocol and port range. If someone could please let me know what I need to set these to so that I may add guild wars to my priority list, it would be greatly appreciated.

Thank you!

Actually, actually i am interested in this aswell, not for GW game but it has to be something that applies to a wide range of games... those port, i assume they would be UDP ports...

This is the page I usually use for finding ports for various games;

http://portforward.com/cports.htm

Guild Wars 1 would be the TCP ports 80 and 6112 for example.

If guild wars is using TCP ports, then does not that mean that it resends problematic packages untill it gets acknowledgement?

Does "rubber banding" occur on GW? like you are teleported back to where you were?

ps: i think it also uses UDP ports for VOIP but not sure

Yes GW has rubberbanding if it isnt sure as to your correct position (Walk between 2 foes which are just wide enough apart for you to visually fit and you may experience it).

As for the VOIP part... was there an update which I missed? As far as I know GW never had a VOIP option (although dont pin me down on this as I have been out of the game for several years).

GW has no VOIP.
