Last 5 points for the HoM

Greetings, with GW2 less than a week away I'm trying to finish up my HOM. I have about 120p, 1 ecto, and some things I can sell but don't know the value of: Honey Combs, Inscriptions, shafts, etc. This is my HOM I'm trying find the best way to get my last 5 points. Any ideas would be absolutely appreciated. Thanks in advance.

Generally speaking, weapon mods and cons, unless in very large quantities, are drops in the bucket compared to what's needed for a HoM point. Honeycombs vary between 80 and 120g per last I checked, though with the current rush to get the Black Moa mini you might be able to extort some people.

I don't think 30/30 is in the cards with those resources and at this stage in the game. Weapons and armor, even one point will wipe out your reserves.

You could conceivably either buy or farm enough armor pieces for your heroes, but that's only one point.

And it would simply take too much time to get enough Honor statues.

If you keep playing after launch, you could get 30/30, but I don't think you can in the remaining week.

Get rank3 Gladiator, lol, easiest monument in HoM ever....

then u got 28 pts,
1 armor set (u do not need headpiece btw)
and 2 destroyer/opressor weapon should do the trick

Maybe in your opinion; a lot of people don't have enough experience with GW PvP to grind out that statue. With double points it may go faster, but it's still a short time to grind out 2000 points.

Zeratul, if you're willing to grind Gladiator, you will need more money than you have right now. Here's what would be required:

Run Wayfarer's Reverie again. It's available for a second round due to glitches in the first time. That will net you another free Tormented.

Buy one cheap weapon, Destroyer or Oppressor. Cost will be around 100k.

Buy two armor sets (not one like he said). Cost will be around 100-120k, plus materials.
OR
Buy Elite Kurzick or Luxon armor. Cost will be 60k, plus the materials.

Slightly more possible, but it all depends on if you're willing to grind RA.

I feel like a broken record for asking...but if you are strapped for additional funds, have you picked up your 50 free Tournament Reward Points? Speak to High Priest Zhang in the Great Temple of Balthazar. Once claimed, they show up in your Hero panel under the third tab. Redeem them with Tolkano for 10 Zaishen Keys, which can then be sold to other players for 5.5-6k each.

Update. Guildies helped me out and gave me cash and about 48 zkeys. Turned in those zkeys and some others that I bought and I'm more than 1/2 way to rank 2 Zaishen. Unfortunate part is I'm down to about 32 ectos and I doubt 32 zkeys will get me to rank 3. I'm going to get one last point tonight when I finish War in Kryta and get another weapon to dedicate to the hall which will give me 26 points total. Perhaps Anet will be nice and allow points to be obtained in GW2. I just really wanted the Black Widow for my Ranger. Thank you all for the suggestions.

You can continue to earn points for the HoM after Guild Wars 2 launches, so long as you continue to play Guild Wars. If you continue to work on it, you can still get the Black Widow.

FYI Wayfarer's Reverie can be redone for 2nd time but you wouldn't able to trade in for a 2nd torm weapon, so unless you want to keep a set of proofs for souvenirs I wouldn't waste my time on it.
