Lovely prizes, but I'm worried that I might get a tormented weapon I already have. If only there was a way to manipulate what kind of weapon I would receive...

So what if you did the quests on multiple chars without grabbing the reward yet.
And then turned them in. Would it stop working after the first character?

I think you can manipulate what weapon you want to an extent. I already had a scythe on my Dervish, so I transferred my gift to my necro and got a soul reaping staff. Also, there was a previous post in this thread of a person getting a weapon completely different to their profession only when he had every other class specific weapon in his inventory.

Actually that does not mention the quest at all.
For all we know (and that would be rather logical) the quest is permanent.

I disagree (though making them permanent would be a nice touch).
The quote I made is talking bout a "bonus" that will end the 30th. They are not talking bout the drops cause they are mentioned separate. What other bonus is there during the Wayfarer’s Reverie.

The 4 quests are listed under festival quests in your questlog (so giving a good indication it is only there for the duration of the festival) and they are all named after the name of the festival. (e.g. Wayfarer’s Reverie: Cantha).

Hmm since I have all the tormented weapons I'll just keep the proofs as a novelty like hundreds of other items.

I've already done the bit with the mausoleum, couldd someone test to see if this part can be done just from running kierans quest. This may help a few people.

Yes.. some form of PvP care as well( even if it's minimal) could have been done..

At worse, even something like a quest such as :
- Explore Random arenas : get a match on all maps
- Explore Fort Aspenwood : talk to all commanders on luxon side / talk to gunther and others on kurzick one
- Explore Jade Quarry : walk on the 3 shrines
- Explore Heroes Ascent : punish the zaishen warriors and explore 3 diferent maps
- Explore Guild Halls : get a GvG match on 3 different guild halls

But those pve quests were rather fun, although the reward at the end was a little bit disappointing...

Has anyone gotten a non-tactics tormented shield? And if you have, has it been on a paragon or another profession?

I got a torm spear on my monk. I guess its one I don't have in HoM but I do have an oppressor spear, it's irrelevant for me as I already have 50/50 but thought the info might be useful

The proofs make sense, but what good are the Wayward Marks if they can only be used for 1pt items? Wouldn't it make more sense to just let those items drop from enemies instead of making a new item/npcs to be exchanged for them?

Maybe there's going to be an event at the end? Kind of like how Victory tokens are exchanged for consumables throughout the festival and at the end can be exchanged for a mask?

Did people with Dragon Orbs know that there was going to be a mask for collecting a stack? Arenanet is pretty good at informing users in advance they get something special for collecting such trinkets.

That is true but you could argue that the tormented weapons were kind of a surprise :P Honestly that's the only reasonable reason I could come up with >.< I'm still waiting to see if the last 2 of the "Sworn to ____" NPCs will be used in this festival or not (as someone said previously).

I think this answers:
I find it an enourmous waste btw that for once they add new content they only make it for limited time and once per account. Why not keep the quests, do only the tormented weapon once per account while the rest doable with every char? Just for the sake of having something new to do, who cares about rewards.

uhm...I took the elona quest with my rit and did part of it...then because my monk was there, took it with that one too---I STILL have the quest active on my rit even though my monk took it as well....

and yeah, I agree, you should be able to do the quests with more than one character (for the xp and plat if nothing) just not get the flame thingy--that can be only once per account.
