Logging on after being away for over a year

So I just downloaded the GW client and tried to login, and got a code 011 wrong password my information is correct has anyone else had this happen and have had the problem resolved? sorry if this is in wrong topic

Error code 011 does indicate the wrong password. I would try resetting your password and then attempt logging in again. Check your email address first though to make sure it is sent to you. It is possible your account was compromised.

Yeah this indicates that your using a wrong password. If you just connected your gw account to your gw2 account wait a few hours and try again. in any other case or if that doesn't work try resetting your password. If that doesn't work then dig up your gamecodes (either on an email if your pruchased digitally or on a scratchcard if you bought it in a shop) and file a support ticket. Keep in mind that due to the fact that people have to login before the 31th to preserve names for gw2 they might have it extremely busy. If your trying to preserve your names, my advise would be to tell them in the ticket.

Even though the code list states that the "password" is incorrect, it can also mean that the character name you entered was incorrect or non-existent.

It could be, of course, that your account was hacked and someone changed the password. You'd need to contact GW support to get it resolved.
