making groups of candy canes

How would you break a large group of candy canes into smaller groups to give some to each character?

I think the only way it can be done is through trade, unfortunatly you can't trade with yourself.

Get a trusted friend.

There is not way to break items into groups.
Unless u give some to a friend put the rest in storage then grab the ones from your friend and do the same for other characters.

I was thinking give all to your friend and then log in one character at a time to that location and have him give the share each time as i imagine thats the quickest way to do it.

it would be a nice feature in the future what with all characters sharing storage.

Aside from trading to another player, there's no way to split up a stack of any item between your own chars.

But then you should have a group of "trusted" players since this is guild wars and you can always trust your guild.... or not.

It would be nice to take out only a certain amount of something, like you can for money. Its a bit annoying having to take out the full stack, run to the crafter or wherever, then go back to put away what wasnt used. Mainly annoying because storage is quite a walk from the the crafters and merchants in the main towns.

Go to storage, take stack out, craft, put stack in. You don't even have to be near storage once the window is open. Same thing with trade, as soon as you open a trade, you can wander off to the other side of town from the person and still complete the trade from where you both are.

Best way.. go outside with a huge stack (like 250 canes). Than start dropping small group like 50 each or whatever number you wanted. Just drop all your canes onto the group than put them up as smaller group.

the problem with that is that when you pick them back up, they'll be grouped again.

I do that trick with my dyes and it doesnt group them back again. Havent tried with other things though.
