Problems in Tahnnakai Temple

I'm completely new to Guild Wars and recently created my first character, a Ranger in Factions. I'm currently level 19 and have hit a brick wall with Tahnnakai Temple. I've tried it quite a lot of times now, and when I get to the last room, my group always dies rapidly. I've tried various setups, including multiple healers, but it always ends up the same - everyone dies within about 20-30 seconds of the 'big' pull.

I'm wondering if this could be because I have no heroes in my group and I'm relying on a full henchmen setup, or should it still be possible and I just need to learn to play? Any tips would be appreciated.

Can you post your build? What skills are you running on your ranger? Which henchmen are you picking for the mission? Are you flagging your party and going in with your ranger and longbow to carefully ping and pull the red dots to you?

As a general tip, at the last room it's a good idea to stop and pick off the wandering Afflicted rangers on the outside of the center mob first. There are about 6 or so rangers that wander around almost the entire outside ring. Take a couple minutes to make sure your get most of them. I also like to take out the two pairs of temple guardians on either side of the ramp I'll be using to access the center mob. This prevents an unpleasant surprise when tackling the rest of the mob.

yeah that last room wipes a lot of groups.

like Meow said, pick off the wandering rangers, then pull the boss--he will come with a group ...but he can be pulled so that togo and mhenlo? (been long time since I have done it), dont rush in....take your time--you shouldnt rush it since the npc's have to live thru this....after you kill the boss then move to the center and take out the rits and such.

* Constant resurrections are a major pain in the butt...
** Ray of Judgement can be NASTY and, with the large numbers of foes in that mission, it's VERY easy to get body-blocked while trying to get out of the Ray, or even stuck because you're trying desperately to move while in the middle of a casting animation...

Kill the rangers that patrol the area first, as they can come up behind your group without you noticing once the fight starts.
Kill ritualists first, then monks. Move henchmen out of any Ray of Judgement beams so they don't die. Then kill the boss and spend the rest of the time killing the other enemies.
