To start this off, I'm not sure whether this is posted in the right place, but I will continue anyway.

I've been getting a bit bored with Guild Wars lately after maxing HoM and what not, but I don't really want to quit because I enjoy this game so much. So I was wondering if anyone had any ideas on what I could do to keep me playing. Perhaps something challenging that will keep me interested. So if you guys have any fun or cool ideas that I could have a go at, leave a response.

Thanks

If you haven't already done it before, DoA HM 7H no cons, or UW HM 7H no cons.

^ Yeah always fun, I do Gloom and such HM without cons and normal heroes, a real test of setups, and I never ever do Mallyx with people now, far easier with heroes and no cons, they never stuff up door

You might also just do what I do, after gwamm and such, I only play to help others now (mostly guildies). Karma bro, nice to give back what you got along the way

Helping is something I always enjoyed doing very much.

Also, I support the suggestion of a new character: often worked for me, even tought it later turned me into an altoholic...

new character: NO using your storage, NO using heroes (only henchies), must go thru the story line as it was supposed to be done (NO jumping over to a different chapter before the final mission in the chapter the character was created in)...
for a challenge: DO NOT upgrade your armor either!! (keep starter set and use it the WHOLE time!)

- have a character of every class and do every mission of every campaign with all of them. This way, start to learn how to play each class.
- discover every outpost with each character
- unlock each available pve skill for each character
- max all skill-relevant pve titles for each character. This includes doing every eotn-dungeon in normal and hard mode at least once, which counts towards "learn how to play each class"
- make the Guardian title with every character when it is Zaishen-quest (this also yields ridiculous amounts of zaishen-coins)

I set up challenges for myself.

Beat HM with no PvE or Elite skills used.

Beat HM with only physical professions used.

Beat HM missions with henchmen.

etc.

My most recent character was an LDoA whom I committed to playing HM 100% and with no help from other players. 30 AL + henchmen required a lot of skill to get through the Ascalon and North Shiverpeak missions vs HM Charr.

I got the idea yesterday that I would take on the challenge of getting LDoA. I havn't really been interested in grinding out titles before, but I have always had presearing in my hearth since I started playing so I thought why the hell not? It's also good because I don't have to play for any lengty peroids of time and still progress (thinking daily quests). It will however take quite some time.

Take a break from GW and play other games or do other things. GW isn't the only good game out there.

Yes, I agree - it's very boring these days.

If ya haven't done so already, ya could do the Winds of Change storyline (good for a challenge in HM), the War in Kryta/Hearts of the North storylines, or PvP...

If ya need a break (which I completely understand), there's other MMOs out there to hold ya until GW2 releases.

Join a pug, any old pug will do, and for every step you take, drop 1g coin behind you.

Do this, all day, every day.

I heard someone from Gwen Radio saying something like this: make a new toon, but cannot acquire/buy new skills from trainers or tomes, use only the skills you have from whatever quests and finish the storyline. signet of capture are okay to use since they are from quest and appear in your skills window. Cannot buy anything, have to get them from drops or from quest rewards, so no bought salvage kits, use only reward trophies to obtain such said items.

You can go and farm all greens from sorrow furnace, or just test out fun builds in some areas... but well, it's quite right that there's nothing to do and their useless updates and flux aren't doing anything at all( note :I'm kinda surprised that noone tried to troll and advice about going to PvP)

Now i'm playing less than i used to, i'm finding any other game more fun than GW(note : i used to find it fun , but not really anymore..), such as assassins creed revelations( solo + multiplayer ), skyrim, dungeon siege3, portal2, etc....

PUG ZQuests for lulz.

Go to any major city and ask if there are any new players that need help (specify that you're talking about advice, playing with them, etc, NOT money). There are plenty of new players coming in and not having anyone to play with, and the few times I've done it I've been (mostly) met with appreciation.

I had this stupid idea to try to get GWAMM while maintaining survivor (I started before the survivor update). Honestly, I think it really helped me play better, too. I was more thoughtful with each instance, I paid a lot more attention to the agro of mobs, etc. I only got to 12 titles before doing something stupid, but it was definitely a fun challenge for me.
