Level 20 pet for HoM.

What is the quickest/easiest way to get a level 20 pet?

Charm one that already comes at lvl 20? Unfortunately, those usually have their own statues.

For a regular pet, I'd personally charm a lvl 15 pet, like the white tiger outside Fort Aspenwood, and then simply drag him along with me while playing the game regularly. Even dead, the pet gets XP, you get stuff done and you don't waste time on dedicated levelling.

If you have a SOS ritualist then go Rit/R and bring the pet along while solokilling things with the spirits. Works quite fast for levelling it.

I have black widow and a zillion other pets, but I use a white tiger because it is easier to see in combat, and given all pets are essentially identical (apart from slashing/piercing) better to have a more visible pet.

As a poster said, if you have a Rt just take the pet along and farm crap, even if you just run with heroes, it will not take long for the pet to level up to 20.

Black Moa is the easiest one to get already at lvl 20 as long as you have Factions.

Fastest way is to take about 7k Balthazar points, walk into a Zaishen menagerie talk to Helena (Zaishen Keeper), pick a regular pet and click about 5 times...

Afaik the downside here is that you need to do quest(s) before you can see the black moa. And its evolution is elder (which means you still have to unlock the dire/hearty evolutions).

But i did my pets a long time ago (i have all); maybe i am mixing things up (i dont think so) and/or things have changed after that...

Yah, death leveling in the Zaishen Menagerie is fast. It only takes about 15 minutes to get a lvl 5 pet to lvl 20, can be done while afk too.
And if the evolution matters, you can just turn it in to the tamer there once you've charmed it and then talk to Wynn (Zaishen Training Captain) to spawn one with the evolution of your choice, then charm it again.

Which pet? Just a random lvl 20 regardless of the skin?

Then take a PvP character, add a ranger hero including Charm Animal, and take him into the Zaishen Menagerie. The ranger hero has a lvl 20 wolf as default pet (this is true only for heroes of PvP characters). Register the wolf in the menagerie at Emryd. Then get it with your PvE char/PvE hero in the menagerie from Wynn.

Your quite correct I just feel doing the quest chain in Factions most of which is go talk to as I remember it is as fast as some other methods.

Underworld run is a possible but you may have to wait to get a runner or learn to do it yourself.

Balthazar faction also very fast if you have the points already.

Death leveling also fast I just dislike this rout.

Killing Wurms in eye to level up is also pretty fast too I just find the black moa a great looking companion.

Black Moa takes longer than either death leveling or charming a Black Widow. You don't need a runner to do Wrathful Spirits; just take seven heroes and flag them away before you charm the spider.

In addition to Balthazar Faction, you may also acquire and train pets in the Menagerie for Zaishen coins and gold.

if you want the black moa..find someone who has completed it...go to ferndale and cap it with that person along (if you wish you can pm me as I have completed it--as long as you have that part of factions available).

Make a pvp ranger. Put on charm animal. Go to the menegrie and register your lvl20 elder wolf. Go back to your pve character and go get that wolf.
