Steam Sale: Trilogy for $15

For the steam sale today the trilogy is 50% off for only $15. Pretty good deal imo.

Still... A great way to pick up a ton of more inventory space. Sure beats buying character slots.

Not interested in buying new accounts, but I did find it rather peculiar that the individual campaigns of Factions and Nightfall are being sold for the exact same amount. That doesn't make any sense to me.

time to enjoy the game from beginning.. I guess 10 bonus zkeys will help too.

Why have they still not offered an actual complete bundle with EotN?

I'm in the same boat. Great price, but I really don't need it at all. That would make a third account... still tempted though! Haha.

Yeah this. I was going to buy a NF account just for kamadan trading then realised it was the same price as a trilogy key.. doesn't make sense.

I suppose that the key also works on the non-steam version of GW

Only way to get the CD key(s) I found out is to initiate the installation of the game through Steam, grab the key(s) (copy keys to clipboard) then abort the installation -- for me it didn't make sense to have two copies of GW installed on my computer. (ie. no plans of running multiple copies of the game at once.)

If you look at the right sidebar there is a option to get CD key. Then you can just create a new account in the original GW client

Just a quick mention on steam; if anyone running guild wars through steam you will have to change the buttons for log out in guild wars or screenshot in steam. The default button for both is F12 and its quite frustrating to take a screenshot everytime you change character.

You can also run Guild Wars without the Steam client, all you're buying through Steam is a Trilogy cd-key.


Trilogy was overstocked in and undersold in many places. This is why Steam is probably giving such a good deal. However, an EoTN serial can be bought for $5 thus giving you all for $20 which is half the price of the master collection in retail stores.

Got GW on steam now
Just right-click on Guild Wars in your library and "view cd key" to activate my brothers account. If he doesn't want it, I can always use it myself...
