What's the worst thing that happened to you in-game?

wasted 45mins...stupid monsters decided to attack survivor out of nowhere

Not sure if it's the worse thing that's ever happened to me, but it's definitely one of the better examples of how poor human character can be in a virtual environment.

A 'friend' posed as just that, a friend to me as they found out about a certain item we both desired to buy, claiming of course, that he had no interest in it. Then, the friend used the first excuse he had to obtain the item from the mutually known source and then stopped talking to me and removed me from his friends list, once he had it.

This is exactly why you find a spouse who accepts you for who you are. Whether your hobbies are video games, cars or sports they are not worth your time if they get jealous and inflict physical harm just to get your attention.

...hm, so I think getting cocky with my survivor (before the change) and dying (she isnt trying it under the new way either--'what's done is done' and we moved on).

Go in from the other side. I haven't had it happen doing it that way.

Ran a couple players from Ascalon to the Crystal Desert that I had just met. They stiffed me. Not that big a deal, but a huge waste of my time. At least I'm more careful with payment these days.

Been longing for the day that Nick would finally collect Jotun Pelts which I have a crapload of. Of course he collects them the week I am completely away on vacation.

I was scammed for my Kuunavang back when I first started playing regularly. I desperately wanted the money (I can't remember why, but possibly to fund my armour addiction) and I didn't look close enough at the gold he offered. It was my fault and a lesson I *never* forgot, but definitely a bad way to learn it.

getting hacc'd and losing more Ecto than i would care to say. lets just say more than the richest people in game would care to lose... then they wouldn't be so rich anymore.

also not seeing the panda in my inventory would be another bad thing...

One of the reasons y the thread in traders outpost..doesn't get that many offering to let others know what they have....sorta like a "deadpool" of those to hack

I can officially say this:

I've been able to beat the City, Gloom and Veil parts of the Domain of Anguish (in NM) with a full hero team with actually little problem.

However, with Foundry, I've managed to reach The Fury a total of five times and yet somehow manage to screw up after a good 45-50 minute slaughtering of every last creature in that place. It's absolutely lucrative this has happened more than once.

Note, I never once used any form of morale boost items or consumables, but at this rate, I might just have to do so. It's just so silly to fail to the last enemy group when two groups are subdued with minor problem.

Therefore, this is the worst thing to happen as of right now in GW.

I got kicked from a guild simply because 6 years ago I was 14 years old and annoying. It was justified, but, I felt bad at the time, but it also taught me not to be annoying.

for me its realize after rushing to do woc only to find out afterwards doing it would mess up the vanq spawns..now my monk is unable to do minister cho's vanq so this is one title she wont ever get. D:

Sorry to say but this is peanuts.

When I logged in after my account got hacked earlier this year, I had lost 46 elite armour sets accross my account. 2 sets were obby, there were multiple kurzick elite sets and vabbi sets and a pair of chaos gloves. All gone.

Then my perfect VSF, an oldskool r8 sword, draconic aegis, echovald shield and more were all gone.

Ans all my heroes were stripped of all runes and insignia and any gold weapons as well. And mind you I had 16 characters with at least 4 heroes equipped each.

So yes, sorry to say, but you had it easy.

I was an avid chest runner back in the day and had built up a stockpile of ecto that was a little over 4000. I gave it all away the day I decided to uninstall GWs and head off for WoW. I don't consider it the absolute worst thing I did to myself but it was a sad day when I reinstalled. There was solace for me when I logged on and I still had all my stuff including my oldchool collection.

Got scammed 5k and the dude acted like he just scammed me for 250ectos, and I am lol because at that time I had a few million gold, losing 5k felt like I lost 5g...

Man, where am I when people give stuff away...

As for me, it'd prolly be not ever realizing that things in factions could be valuable. I know I merched several good shields, including a -2/enchanted echo dual-mod (not sure of the other, but it was decent), because I thought that stuff was junk for the longest time. Then I came to the forums here, and well, I found differently. I'm pretty sure I've merched several good dungeon drops, such as an emerald blade, and others. But ah well, life goes on.
