Conversion of Imperial Faction needs to be fixed.

Earlier today I realised that when you click "convert all" option, it ignores the amount of faction you already have and your faction cap and reduces your imperial faction straight to 0. That is to say any excess faction is lost.

I think that an algorithm should be included such that the options will only convert up to the maximum available cap you have remaining, and leave the rest untouched.

This is indeed unfortunate and it's nice of you to bring it to people's attention, but most of us cash in before it reaches the ridiculous levels where this would be a problem.

If this is a quick fix than it's /signed; but I won't ever lose a min. sleep over it.

This is easily fixed by simple arithmetic and common sense.

Sometimes you click the button accidentally when you have too much faction to convert? Its not like misclicks don't happen. What have you got to lose anyway?

my imperial cap is 140k and it can take a lot of hours of doing faction pvp to even acrude that amount since nomially you gain 5k ish imperial from jq a win, and far less if you get blown out 10-0, if you're converting to balthazar faction it's 3:1 and you really don't lose that much i turned in like 14k imperial and got 5k balth pretty much, this isn't a big deal to be honest. it's kind of a deal with it and shut up situation, i'm in a cavalon alliance and honestly never heard anyone complain about it with the conversion.

honestly, deal with it, it's new.

Its precisely because you have a high cap that it matters? I converted 40k of balth faction at once when my cap was only 30k

Seriously? "Herpa derp your a noob if you do this" is the best counter-arguement you people have.

This is a simple correction to a BUG in the interface.

Player error can never be fixed.
Even if they make a "fix" people will still find a way to screw it up, just like everything in every game.

Seriously? By that logic why not remove the checking when you have money and someone tries to trade you so that your gold balance goes over the 100k?

I made that mistake too. I am converting 1k at a time to prevent throwing any away. Glad someone else noticed this also.

Obvious logic error on Anets part. Expect fix sometime between now and heat death of the universe.

Yeah, lets do it for interactions with the xunlai chest as well. Item stacks too. If you try to put an 80 ecto stack on a 200 ecto stack to combine them you should just lose the extra 30 ectos because clearly you are a clueless asshole who shouldn't have their hand held by the game, amirite?

saw a banner once that read "fool-proof systems don't take into account the ingenuity of fools"

little common sense goes a long way. if this change is made then they should make one for merchants as well so you have to verify every item sold so nobody can speed click through their bags anymore and "accidently" sell those high-end weps

That's like the exact opposite of this change. What you suggested dramatically slows down merching trash and is a major inconvenience. This change only speeds things up by dispensing with math and extraneous clicks.

Actually, we do have one for that, if you haven't realised, you can't sell equip that is on your weapon sets, nor can you sell equipment in your equipment packs. And you were saying?

I'd much rather get back(have fail safe for) accidently merched goods than accidently converted/loss faction...the merching was my fault not anets....oh well

For example wars....they have sooo many weaps that not all can be equipped or put into equipment packs......so that doesnt really apply

Then you can hide the bags that the equipment is stored in so its not displayed by the merchant.

Most MMO's have a buy back feature which is really sad GWs didnt get one. Same could be said for security features and an Auction House. The more I play this game the more it looks like the designers did a half ass job, despite that I still like it bc of the originality and amount of artwork they put into it.

okay so in other words you're mathemtically challenged and didn't read 3:1 ratio, so yeah 30k balth cap means turn in imperial faction before 90k right?

ding, ding. winner. or do PvP and up your cap to 40k+ so when you do happen to get 120k imperial after a day of jq/fa/ab (by the way waste of time, since that's only ~8 zkeys (48k gold) and theres other ways of farming to get more than that amount)

so in turn, be a smart player please, and dont QQ because you made a mistake. use the 2 spherical organs in your head, called eyes and pay attention to your faction caps more.
