A few days ago I found myself thinking of making a new gwamm character since, obviously, four are not enough to my messed-up mind. Because achieving 30 maxed titles requires only time I started thinking on how to make it a bit more challenging. What I came up was this:
1) Create a Prophecies character.
2) Do not use tomes. Only use currently available skills.
3) Do not use storage. Equip yourself purely by drops and quest rewards. Sell tomes to other players.
4) Play and finish GW chapters in their chronological order.
5) Before moving on to the next chapter get all bonuses/master rewards in missions.
6) Start Hard Mode only after Normal mode in all chapters and EotN has been beaten.
7) Max titles to get GWAMM.
8) Do it without dying once.
Does all this sound doable? Please share your thoughts and comments on how to make the challenge more... Challenging.

I'm not that masochistic.
Not playing with friends was something I was thinking too but that would take a great deal of fun out of it. Maybe this could work: If playing with friends they too can use only skills from current and previous chapters. Also, they cannot use their heroes if playing Prophecies or Factions.
A bit addicted, yes.
I can agree with "no cons" and the hero usage policy. As an integral part of original GW, secondary profession would be used. PvE skills would follow the same policy as other skills.
The point of the challenge is not to make the challenge insanely difficult and near impossible to complete but to experience GW as close as possible to the original releases. It would be great if anet rolled out a vanilla GW server but since that's not happening ever - I can at least try to play the game as oldschool as possible.
That reminds me - Sorrow's Furnace and Titan quest chain in Prophecies. Those could be done too before moving on to Factions.

Addicted huh?
Well, how about this.... No Heroes in Factions or Prophecies, No EOTN Heroes in Nightfall, No Nightfall Heroes in EOTN No Cons No PVE Skills No Other Human Players in Party No Secondary Profession Skills |

Do chapters in order, using only skills available in said chapter (eotn can use proph skills). Use only henchman or heroes available in said chapter.
Before moving onto factions: do 5-man sorrows furnace farm, do a b/p group in tombs, do a iway group in halls, 55 and SS farm uw, do a forge run in fow using renewal nukers/whammos/bonder, fail thunderhead keep three times in a row, sell a noob a fds in ascalon city, afk in marhan's grotto for a day, complain there is no auction house.
Before moving onto nightfall: invite an assassin to your group then kick him, go to zos shivros channel and laugh at suxons, go to house zu heltzer and make fun of kurdicks, afk in zos shivros challenge mission to get daily high score, chest run in nahpui quarter for celestial weapons, chest run in sunjiang district for golden phoenix blades, cap flesh golem and use it at 0 death magic to get a tiny golem, do the deep in a steel wall pug group, do urgoz warren as a b/p group, complain there is no auction house.
Before moving onto eotn: think the idea of customizable henchies is TOTALLY AWESOME but then meet koss, complain about the grind of the sunspear title to unlock further progess, wish you had bought stacks of sapphires/rubys when they were worthless, cap searing flames and use it everywhere, think the game is easy then wtf realm of torment, wonder why you can't become the god, do domain of anguish in a sf/obby flesh group, open coffers til you get a mallyx no matter how much money you waste, complain there is no auction house.
In eye of the north: scream OMG GWEN when you meet her, wonder where are the sylvari, leech a cof 600 run, vaettir and raptor farm during holiday events, do a vs farm but never actually get one only your guildmate who already has three, don't actually do most of the dungeons but get somebody to run it for you, solo the great destroyer, run sabway for the next three years, join a sc guild then faceroll uw/fow/doa with overpowered consets and pve skills, complain there is no auction house.
After all that, you can do the rest of the titles.

I'd do it on a ranger if you're planning on starting in proph. Else, you'll probably get rolled a couple times. That's why this person got his on his Paragon, more survivability.
Btw, add LDoA on the list^^

There already is one on one of the screenshot threads GWAAM with 0 deaths and about 30mil exp. Think there might have been 1 other can't recall at the moment.

Coconut, I love your post but most of the activities almost certainly guarantee a death.
kajusbonus, I'll add you to FL.

Now, as far as the character is concerned, I'll be making an elementalist. First maxed title will be LDoA. I've had some doubts about whether or not to go for LDoA since a lvl 20 character will have it all too easy for the most of Prophecies, but decided to go for it after all because of potential "I should have got LDoA" facepalm in that character's future. That said, maxing LDoA will bring the character to 7 maxed titles.

Nevertheless, impressive feat. DVDF has been known for their helpful attitudes. Massive respect to my former guildmates.

So, you already have 6 account wides? Isn't that kind of cheating?^^ Cause you character didn't get them after all.. You'd have to hit 36 titles to make it really legit
Btw, what are you gonna do when your inventory hits 100k/is full of materials? Or can you use material storage?
To make it really, really legit, you should have in your end screeny you talking to Xunlai woman and paying her the 50g fee..

It's true that 6 maxed account-wide titles make the job easier but you have to remember that three money titles will not be available to this character because of the storage restriction. And no, no access to material storage either. Xunlai Agents will be ignored throughout the game. The character will have to get by using only backpacks and bags.
I'm going to impose yet another restriction to the character's finances by ignoring Nicholas' gifts in post and especially in pre. They make making money way too easy and besides, they weren't around in the days of yore. Financing will only be available through merching drops and selling tomes to people. Lending money and/or equipment from friends is a big no-no.
That could become a problem, yes. Guess I could craft some equipment for myself and my heroes. But I don't think that having too much money will be a problem. I'm planning on buying a prestige armor at the end of each chapter, quite possibly even Vabbian armor. And if too much money becomes an issue I guess I can always buy some ecto and put it in my backpack.

It sounds doable and a nice challenge. Minus the "don't ever die" part, which depends on luck and it's not really up to you. Lag spikes or disconnects can happen anytime.
If you do it, would you mind documenting (or simply saving) your builds chronologically all along the way? There's a severe lack of builds made for non-max areas at certain points in the game. On any profession you might end up choosing. Having an experienced player go through the entire GW and save a good build made with only locally available skills at every step would be extraordinary documentation. I plan to go myself through all the campaigns one day for this exact purpose.
Like, "I'm in Ascalon City fresh out of Pre, what build do I make?" Or, "I've reached Yak's etc." Don't say it's obvious, if it was we wouldn't see some of the builds we see.
I guess what I really really want is a wiki list of skills ordered by how they first appear while you move through a campaign...
