i dont get it. you said you dont wanna report him since he is a friend then why ask us for advice? either he does something bad report it or dont but i dont think you need us to tell you that. maybe he could've gotten lucky with drops and he couldve play a lot like say 10 hours a day to get those items. or he say play awhile back while said items were cheap and only now came back to game? *shrugs*

Perhabs he has some sugar uncle Perhabs he has gotten all his stuff from a real life friend who quit. Or like others say, he just gotten it himself. If you know what to spend your money on and what not, you can get all that stuff in 460 hours. Or he won a contest perhabs? I did not have any tormented weapon, I entered a contest hosted by [DL] and I won the second prize, and the next day I had 15 tormented weapons. People can get lucky. And its not too hard to find PvX wiki after 460 hours. I would't look too much behind it. Things are hardly ever the way they seem.

Dropped Polar bear during 2010 Wintersday or was soo much lucky to have access to one of that rare minis that you can get only with promotions. In other words, thigs that with only a lot of luck bring you thousands of ectos in a sec.

Just leave that guy alone. Anyway, if you sell him elite tomes for 2k/ea, he can easily sell them for much more money...

There's nothing suspicious. Maybe you are paranoid.

Listen to the Gouda, Germans can't be trusted.

No seriously, if you consider him your friend, just ask him how he acquired all this stuff in such a 'relative' short amount of time.

As stated: I'm concerned to trigger a false positive RMT as I sell him stuff under price and make gifts.

With guildies, I don't mind, I've known them for years. He's a bit of an unknown. And in case he does read this, his first problem will be explaining to me why he claims not to speak english...

You are selling him tomes for 2k each and wonder why he has money? XD

Most of them can be sold ingame to get 200-400% of your investment, even more if he uses a german GW Auction site with buy out options.
Some goes for minipets, buy a bunch of c.rabbits ingame from players that want to make a quick buck and continue playing and sell them a week later for 150-300% or more.

If he has got more friends like you, he could go into RMT and save up for his kids collage fees.

True story about how my friend has multiple chars with obby armor and chaos gloves without paying a single ectos.

Also, you're giving him a steep discount for all you know he's turning around and selling everything you sell him in Kamadan for a little profit.

Is it possible he mean on that char not on the account?

Is it possible its an alt account he had and had been somewhat messing around with the HoM on and then his main got banned? I myself have an alt I'm working on getting to at least 30/50 in case something happens to my main (i.e. people actually start reporting me for my RED ENGINE GORED ENGINE GORED ENGINE GORED ENGINE GOing language)

Theres any number of possibilities. Relax. Breathe in. Breathe out. Hold 10 mins. Now that you're dead can I has your stuff?

lol. He doesn't need skills unlocked to flip that shit for 2,3, maybe 4 times what he's paying you for them. Obvious power trader. In any case, this isn't really worth a thread.

It's your morale imperative to report him. They made the /report function so that we would all aid the Anet Council by keeping our eyes open, always vigilant and meticulously observing for "abnormal behaviour". His suspicious behaviour confirms quite clearly that he's hurting the GW economy, an indirect if not direct cause of your own poverty. And I bet he has a big nose and a great lust for money too. Those people should be interned in camps IMO.

If it's not a second account he/she is a Gold buyer for sure.
Lots of people on here will boast that they can farm 100k in two minutes but it's plain rubbish. Hence the 'its so easy to get obby armour and 10 BDS's and have 2 million in the bank in that time' comments.
One of my favourite boasts I hear is 'I normally get 3-4 ecto drop just clearing the chamber.'

Nice exaggeration, but it is fairly easy to make the stuff this guy has in the amount of time he did it.

He could as well be lucky to have maybe more friends who are rly helpfull and supply him with materials and other things he need to progress fast and fill his HoM. I have a friend who is very genergous and he's given me mats, items, consumables etc worth loads of money simply because he doesnt need it himself. Quite recently got handed all the mats i needed for Vabbian armor, including the money for the crafting. Time and time again i've tried to give stuff back as repay but he insists i dont have to, all he wants is a nice friend to play with.

I dont see anything too suspicious about what he've accomlished in that time. Tho if you're realy curious and dont want to accuse him of anything, you can ask in a bit of a joke-ish way when you notice he has something new that's expensive, or ask if he has any tips on how to make money.

I think your really just asking for reassurance.

If the majority of replies said he was crooked you would probably talk yourself into reporting him.

But I really think your hoping we will come up with a reasonable explanation that makes him out to be innocent.

I think most of us have passed on making that decision for you.

Why is everyone bringing up random ways to make quick cash in GW.

He has 2-3mil worth of stuff in over a year of playing. what is so hard to believe about that.

I've met a young German player about a month ago. I think I just sold him a tome or two. Given my guild hall is practically empty, I started occasionally playing with the guy, since at least he plays.

But the more I play with him, the more suspicious he seems to me.

446 hours played, he said today. 446 hours, over 16 moths, and yet he already walks around in Obsidian armor with Chaos gloves and Blindfold, has a full HoM weapons monument including 4 tormented weapons, a Zaishen monument displayed in HoM, a ton of miniatures...

He also doesn't seem to be much of an experienced player. While he does fly around the place with a discord hero team, so it's conceivable that he's done much himself. But he only finished Factions and Nightfall this month (so, no DoA farming to explain those tormented weapons).

He blindly buys every elite tome I sell him at 2k/tome (I sell them cheap since he's a co-player and I can complete the transaction in like 5 minutes) in spite of claiming he's not a PvP player (how would he unlock the skills then?). He's already buying sapphires and amber for more armour suits.

I mean, I know I'm no farmer, but I'm seriously beginning to think that 446 hours is a wee bit little to be THAT rich. I mean, it BROKE me to get that Zaishen a while ago, I had to sell every valuable material I had. I know I stretch my efforts across too many chars, got 10 triple protectors.

But, really,I think this is suspicious. Of course, I suspect RMT or something, and if he's willing to risk it, his problem. But I dare not make him a gift, and even worry of my discounts!

Am I paranoid, and could he have been that efficient? Or had that generous guildies (hell, my guildies could be, I gave money and mats for atheir first elite armors to several and all, and I give away my spare minis and mats and all to them)?

Any thoughts?
A week ago I took up UW farming with a Warrior for the first time.

I have played my warrior for 2 hours since then farming UW, and have amassed well over 20 ectos.

It is sickly easy to make money if you put the time in.
