Self minipet :D

Had this idea on the bus, so don't blame me too much...

Wouldn't be cool if anyone could have the minipet of himself? The idea is that you got a mistery to reveal doing some quests and collect some materials (just like Mini Black Moa). After completing the quests you have the minipet of yourself with the same appereance as yours when u accept the reward! for example my paragon with norn armor died black, VS, Amethyst Aegis (as i usually run).

Quests items cannot be traded, so anyone that want this minipet MUST do the quests by himself and items will be given as reward to the quest holder! This way you cannot have quests run or trade these materials.
Quests could be in some elite areas or so...

Obviously this minipet won't count for HoM

Just a suggestion to revive the game.....

This idea has gone around the discussion table before.

Then it fell off the side and was never seen again, until now.

lol i've actually thought of that before especially during GW april fools day when they enlarged the mini pets. i would sign for it just to see a mini me following me :-)

Just so long as it could be dedicated at HOM. Otherwise I'm not interested. Could make it a cross campaign like the black Moa chick.

Only problem, if you change armor, will your pet do so too? Same with weapons? I'd make it like mini MOX, if you want to change it's appearance, you have to put it away, change armor and if you put it out again it's wearing your armor^^

If the quests were solo it would help as someone could run the whole party and everyone gets materials(unless you had another mechanic in mind).

And what would happen in you used a tonic then took it out?

I can't count how many times has been the 'mini-me' miniature been suggested.

That would be a good idea. Have it simply mirror what you look like at the time of deploying it.

Suggested thousands of times, I would love it but its never gonna happen. I kinda forget why but i know (Gail?) said that it will never happen.

They would need to code a minipet identical to every character in the game. It's good, but don't think it would happen.

Wow, first time this year. I think this was proposed about once every quarter last year. Not signed.

This idea could work if ANET would make money off it. You could go to the In Game store and pay $9.95 and type the name of the character in your account which you want the mini-me for. Go to the GToB with that character and talk with a NPC to get the mini-me.

i also wish minis did something besides allow themselves to be dedicated, like having them out in explorable areas gave you some kind of minute bonus or something

+1 to a certain attribute while you have it out, or maybe extra MP, or +1 regen of either health or MP, or +15% skill recharge
anything besides just something to take out in a town and show off

of course non targetable thus unkillable by mobs

One thing you really need to know is that Anet stopped caring about the customers still playing GW; you can see it easily by looking at the time it takes them to make a simple change for 5-6 skills or such. They just don't get any money out of it so they simply don't care and will therefore mask it with "we're sorry, the live team is busy with gw2 and doesn't have 1 hour to implement a few more lines of coding".
