Farming

Sorry if this is the wrong area to post this thread, I'm new to the Guild Wars Guru.
But anyways, I was just wondering what a good build to farm for the unique hammer Vera dropped by Jayne Forestlight in The Eternal Grove would be.
Any help is is greatly appreciated!

like...what class do you plan on doing it on...
which campaigns you have?

You can farm nearly any boss with a spirit spammer. I usually bring a full party and with a little trial and error get a feel for a good time to flag the party off the radar range so you can solo the boss. Once the names are greyed out on your party window, the green drop will entirely be yours if it happens (usually about a 1/10 chance).

I farmed for that hammer 2 days ago.
I tried pretty much everything imaginable, but the creature variation is too great. Its possible to use an SoS rit, but it will take about 15 minutes to fight the 2 groups before Jayne Forestlight. and another 5 or so to kill Jayne himself because of his heals and blocks (provided you can pull him from his group) The surrounding foes will heal him even if they aren't aggro'd.

I ended up just going with 3 heros and clearing the 2 groups + Jayne in about 2 minutes per run. Took me 27 runs to get Vera dropped.

R/N Touch Ranger can solo him in NM fine. Got random screenshots of me doing it in '09 randomly and no skills have changed since then.

There are likely other builds that can be used as you can pull him from his group. You can see it in this veeery old video of a R/N on how to do it.

I solo SOS'd most of the area for fun and Vera dropped for me on the first try. It just took me 5 minutes or a bit less tho. I also got Spiritgarden's Repose on a second run. Just lucky probably. But my experience is that many Faction bosses drop their greens a lot. I remember when farming Gyala during Nick week, I got loads of greens. (especially that Strength shield from the Leviathan boss).
