PvE skills meta is as stagnant as PvP. At least it is when you are a ranger, we get so few updates it's not funny.

I'll probably start playing more when 7 hero groups are available. Until then, I'll most likely just log in every week to collect Nick items.

I'll play again when I log-in later today.

Unlike a fair amount of people, I actually take my time to do things and don't immediately get it done the second it becomes available.

You know, taking my time to enjoy the GO RED ENGINE game.

Anyone who's bored with this game hasn't tried everything there is to do. After all, can anyone truly say it's possible to beat Hell's Precipice, with bonus, in HM with only 3 people?

I mean, people could solo Underworld, drop urns to complete Domain of Anguish and obliterate The Deep with an entire time of Elementalists, but what about the most bizarre ideas?

I, for one, can say I've successfully beaten Urgoz's Warren after 5 people left believing we could never beat it without two Monks and a SoS Ritualist.

That's the problem with most games now. No one tries to challenge themselves and figure "Hey, I beat the game. I guess that's it, then."

I'll play again when I get bored of all the other free MMO's now like EQ2 and Anarchy Online and Lord of the Rings and Dungeons & Dragons and after those when I'm bored with Diablo III. Guild Wars is old and haggard now. It's a hasbeen and no longer young and curvy and bouncy.

This thought jumps to my mind a lot when I think about developers and game production in general. The devs create the game and yet know so much less than what would have been expected from their knowledge base.

Hell, if they don't know about the game and want help, I'd be happy to do so. I'll send in pages of ideas for skill updates, game balance, and more.

Honestly, ANet should just make threads asking people for ideas and advice.

Also its hard to believe that the Derv update is still progressing and is underway... Huh....

The only realistic way to help in this capacity is to apply as an ArenaNet designer. If you are up to the task then take a stab at doing design as a career.

Can you imagine trying to create or tune a game listening to a cacophony of forum feedback? Or trying to test pages worth of skill updates and trying to release those updates on time with little to no developer support? If you've got the chops, then go for it .

I'll play again when I get home from work!

Drunkard, Sweet Tooth and Party Animal are all just about half done. Me and a pal farm for Nick once a week, and after I finish VQ'ing Tyria, I can start focusing on completing the EotN titles.

By the way Anet. About that VQ. Full hero parties please? I'm doing the 4/6 areas and Claude+Reyna do a decent job, but.... full hero parties please.

It isn't as hard as you'd think it is. Its just the scientific method applied.

The reason ANet can't do it themselves is because they don't understand the game because they don't play it at the appropriate skill level or play it at all.

The only people who can actually fix the game are the players themselves with the deepest most intricate level of knowledge of how the game operates.

ANet needs more surveys of the players at the very least imo.

Yeah... the people balancing our skills were the same people that believed Hamstorm was the future of GW PvP.

Isn't that kind of what the Live team is for?

Granted we hadn't seen much from them, but as far as my age ravaged memory stretches, they've only been around for 2(?) skill updates.

The only people that can fix this game are the 20 or 30 programmers that are currently working on GW2, whoever we have left can't really do much outside of the few hours of extra content and the skill updates twice a year.

Not that I'm complaining, I got close to 3k hours of fun out of this game. But as far as any kind of meaningful change or more active population goes, It's not happening.

Like this post^^

Nothing beats random retarded shit in this game. We went on a SoO earlier today, wanting to do balanced, but I didn't wanna roll monk, wanted to do it on my ssin, and some other guy too, so I ran some retarded tank build with some holy damage, and the other guy ran A/Mo UA, first he was Life Barrier or something :P

Anyway, shits and giggles^^ Was hella fun

There is nothing that goes above
-"Dude, let's go do X"
*"What build we taking?"
-"Who cares?"

The live team is limited in their capabilities. I doubt they have enough influence and sway to do such things to their fullest extent. The live team, from what I hear, is deteriorating and ineffective as well.

They can't fix GW1. Only people who understand the game can do such a thing.

Hence why I believe that ANet needs to consult their playerbase for things like balance and ideas more.

Wohow, prepare to be flamed my man..

I think that to a certain extent they should, but they would have to listen to the arguments. It's not because 90% screams NERF but based on no decent arguments, that they should do so..

They should listen a bit, and weigh down the pro's and con's and see what they will cause in the game..

Why would that be the case? Test Krewe was formed just for the purpose of having an official way of gathering feedback from the community.

Of course, what they do with that feedback (nothing) is a different story.

Obviously, you'd want the credibility of your players opinions to matter.

Like interviewing top level players and guilds opinions for GvG, HA, and PvP in general.

It is noticeably harder to gauge PvE players as there is no great and defining way to measure how credible they are especially when PvE is so easy as is the case.

I play on monk for ZBs on a regular basis just to see how random people play. There's good PUGs and terrible PUG players (defy pain warriors and double dragon eles). Most monks don't bring any prots even if there's no imba or ST also.

I'll start playing with people again on my ele when eles get a HM update. Currently heroing Tyria HM because I never got around to doing it and all the people that I used to play with quit for other games or just because they finished their title grind to 30/50.

There's much doom and gloom here on guru that doesn't represent GW as well ingame. I played on my alternate (anonymous) account that nobody knows about and it's still pretty active at times. It just depends on whether you choose to say "lol nubs" to all the people that haven't grasped the game yet or try to help them be better.

Why would people bother with such trivial things? If they are not getting awarded in any way such as a title then they will not bother.

You mean people play this game for the purpose of not, do I dare say, having fun? I think trivial things are the best way of differentiating a "pro" vs. a "noob".

Concise Description: Bragging rights. Isn't that what titles are besides putting into the Hall of Monuments?
