Idea on Costumes - What would you really want to buy/see?

Okay so I didn't really know where to put this, but I put it here. And if a mod/admin feels this thread has allready been made then okay, kill it D;

So I have these ideas for costumes, that I'd really enjoy seeing ingame, both for males and females.
I really enjoy traditional wear/clothing. For example, what about a bunad for males or females? (Please keep in mind Bunads vary alot in design and the way they look thought.) Or kiminos are beautiful, for both females and males. I also love the china dresses, sorry I don't know what they are really called xD Female one.

What would you guys want to see, or what would really make you wanna buy a costume?

I like costumes that are relevant to the plot. I don't tend to bother buying them unless there's a reason in the story that my character would wear something like that. So what I would like to see in future costumes is for them to continue to be integrated into the story, and not be just something random.

(The type of dress you're thinking of is called a cheongsam or qipao.)

The chinese/japanese dresses i think are gd idea - would compliment cantha as that has a slight asian / oriental feel to it. Apart from that i cant think of anything really that would tie into gw and its storyline

Female corsair disguise in that misson whatever its called. Needs to dye well to black as well.

Thats what i want. If we got charr costumes though, id consider buying that for the people i usually play with.

i want my elementalist dressed like a rock star from the 80's !!! epic xD

That would be cool, tho if my mesmerette started looking like Janet Gardner from Vixen I would never get anything done.


GW related - Ascalon army/Ebon Vanguard, Corsair or White Mantle armor. When I saw WM I mean from the knights/zealots/justiciars not that confessor Dorian crap. <.<
Real world I think my mesmer chap would look really spiffy in a Napoleonic era cavalryman uniform. ^.^

Armour along the lines of what we see on npc's (obviously touched up), seeing as anet only bothered to make AI armour perty.

It would be cool to unlock 1 costume at least from a quest or something . Especially this , since it's supposed to end on a wedding , having to unlock that wedding costume would have been smarter i guess....

Something eaglelike for assassins, like Assassin's Creed one. That would be nice :-).

I agree to this. I personally think that adding costumes as a quest reward would be good, but only for specific reasons. Well, on the top of my head: What if you where spying on the emperor(lol) and then you needed a costume/disguise for that, and if you where to take the costume off, the quest would failed. Kinda like the missions where you have to be under a disguise but that you can use the disguise/costume later on aswell.

-> And I think that making NPC/Henchmen/Hero armors avaidable would be a good idea, but I don't know if I feel they should be identical. I mean, since the armor is specificly to them for a reason. Maybe they could make them like how you craft armor, instead of costumes, but that you only craft it by pieces, that the head, hands and feet are each their part and then the ehm, body cloth xD ? is one part too?

I'm waiting for a White Mantel metal armor costume, but I know that's not going to happen.
