I'll get us started.

Maybe 1-1.5 years ago or something like that, I sold a R9 tactics echovald shield +45hp (enchanted), -2 damage (stance).... for 5k

Here's the thing, I didn't know it was worth so much, I tried selling for so long and nobody would buy, so i'm thinking I was asking too much. One day I ask for 5k and one guy is all super surprised and buys from me... some months later I check and see the prices and my heart sinks ._. Oh I felt so horrible.

Yeah 100e may not be a gigantic amount to some of those that are buying in the high-end section, but to a casual player like me this is a MOUNTAIN of money.

Sucks because I want one now and prices are outrageous for it and it bugs me to this day.

Whats yours?

I merched an Elemental sword about a week after Nightfall came out. At the time, I could have gotten 500k + for the ugly thing.

Playing

Starting a Sin to get titles. Turned out to not be my favo proff. Cba to start over again (alrdy played since 05). So i never bothered with GWAMM. But i still think. If i would have made a warrior or ranger for the title hunting.. i could have made it till the end :O

Trading

Get gifts from 700 war supplies. The rewards from those gifts didn't make me happy. I could have made quite some money from those war supplies now!

But yeh nothing special. I never take risks. I always double check things before doing anything.

Probably something in PvP. I've done a lot of stupid shit in PvP.

Actually, we literally got bodyblocked today while the other team raped our Guild Lord, so that's probably one of the better examples of my daily hilarity that is Guild Wars.

I don't think I've done colossal dumb things, more like a thousand smaller, stupid things. I'm pretty sure I've salvaged armor, sold/bought for way off market value (sold one of my Oppressor bows right before the HoM was announced, too).

Mostly it's just little stuff. Going somewhere and forgetting to bring something (Signet of Capture, collector item, etc.) or getting lost in an explorable area. I've also sunk lots of time into characters I end up deleting, I've literally gone through three mesmers and just can't stick with it. I also deleted a really old character, when I could have just bought an extreme makeover.

Not really dumb, but there is plenty of stuff I'd do different if I knew what I know now:

-Deleting my first Ranger and Necro characters a few months before character slots where first introduced (remade the Necro later, but also deleted because I didn't like how she looked a few months before makeovers where introduced)
-Not getting into certain farming runs earlier (55 prot bond / smites would have been fun and crazy profitable)
-Not trying harder to get a better rank in HA earlier, or joining an HA guild
-Not buying up all the mini pigs I could get for 3k each, to get many more mini celestial pigs that could be sold for 300k each a week before the HoM calculator
-Buying tons of ectos before the price went back up most recently

In addition to traditional annoying things like forgetting to bring a cap sig or have the appropriate secondary while skill capping, I've accidentally crafted two of the same armor peice, overwrote a Sup Vigor with another Sup Vigor, used the wrong salvage kit, among other things. Getting halfway through a vanquish and realising my attributes are in the wrong weapon line is always fun as well. Oh, and deleting a 2005 pumpkin hat that was customised to my deleted Mesmer one week before they added the hat npc was annoying. I'd been holding onto it for over six months thinking 'maybe I can do something with it' and trying to convince myself to delete it...

This is one of the most ridiculous things I've heard in a while, why are you on the games forum then? And not even a newly created account - you've got a lot of posts. If you don't like the game, then go and play something else.
