So there was "War in Kryta" and they just hinted at something called "Crisis in Cantha" for Guild Wars Beyond (http://www.arena.net/blog/oppressors...l-of-monuments)
After this, I imagine there will be something with Nightfall also....Emergency in Elona?

I think it's more than just a joke:
Sure, it might not be called "Crisis in Cantha" but there appears to definitely be a next chapter to GW:B. But you're right. There's not much to discuss until we know more details.
It's fun to speculate, however. For example, will a NF chapter follow? Will the rewards be Oppressor Weapons again? Will Thackeray surface in Cantha?
And most of all...is the time they are spending on GW:B development pushing back the release of GW2? WiK took, what, about 6 months? If "Crisis in Cantha" (or whatever it's called) also takes 6 months, and then they do a Nightfall chapter (also 6 months?), does that mean we are at least 1 year away from GW2?

| We’ll be talking more in the coming weeks about how your feedback affects the next chapter in Guild Wars Beyond, “Crisis in Cantha”—it’s not really named this…at least not yet. |

The WiK stuff started when, April? It hasn't even wrapped up yet. If that's a signal for what's in store for us in the CiC, then that content may not even wrap up until next April, and I'm really hoping that GW2 will have been finished by then. At the very least, all of the GW2 professions will have been revealed, at the rate that they are moving.
If similar content is to be pushed out for Elona, and their goal is to have all of that done before GW2's release, the speed is going to have to pick up on the release of updates for CiC, and the upcoming holidays of Wintersday and the Canthan New Year probably won't help.

The actual War in Kryta is over with the Battle for Lion's Arch. Salma is now Queen and they have broken the back of the White Mantle forces.
The new content planned for Cantha, and possibly Elona, won't have much impact on the remainder of the Tyrian (continent) content. John Stumme said we won't be getting the rest of Evennia's story for a while. Most likely they won't wrap up Gwen and Keiran's story until next year closer to release.
There is no reason to have completed all new content before the release of GW2. Guild Wars is not going to just disappear. It will continue to be played for various reasons and still be worthy of support and new content.

Edit: Oh and by the way, the GW1 team is small, 10 people or so? The GW2 team must be at least 3 times as big.

or if they re-used the bonus mission pack map for Togo's Story. That was a was a sweet map.
