Guild Wars Loolapalooza Extravaganza Celebration

When Guild Wars 2 is announced, they should have an in-game event celebration in Guild Wars 1 that combines ALL the events of the year into one big bash.

Open the boardwalk games. Let candy canes, clover, eggs, cupcakes, etc, etc be special drops. Have double faction and double allegiance. Double green drops. Double lockpick retention. Double gold. Double experience from skill captures.

All of it in one big week-long bash.

This is the way to celebrate the announcement of Guild Wars 2 in STYLE!

I will /sign this, cause it would be fun, but....

I dont think it will happen. Why? First off I would hazard a guess the majority of the GW population would be playing GW2 at the time, so I don't know how many would stick around to join in a party which they would have seen before. Secondly, I think Anet would be wanting people to be in GW2 more than GW1 at that point, so this would be a distraction.

What I meant was when they finally announce an exact release date. I don't want this event to happen on the day Guild Wars 2 is released. Why? Because I'll be playing GW2!

Maybe they could do this in between the beta (if there is one) and the actual release date. It would help us finish off those titles we are working on for the Hall of Monuments.

Personally I'd rather have the final content of GWB (the bridge between GW1 and GW2) rather than a huge lagfest of copy/pasted events that have occurred week after week and year after year.

The only point I see in doing something like this is to help people work on titles. They have already done enough to make getting titles maxed easier, and they have already added enough ways to get points on them. I'd rather have something related to the actual GW2 game instead of more title stuff for GW1. Besides, as mentioned, it creates a huge server strain for all the people and items involved.
