Ban heroes from prophecies

Spend the money to buy the other games or learn how to do with what you have. Heroes were hardly the only thing added, and they were not added to Factions. If you think the addition of new titles (Factions, Nightfall, and Eye of the North) caused problems for a 'perfect' game (Prophecies) then you would need to remove classes, skills, consumables, titles, HM, weapons, armor, runes, and insignias.... and probably lots more I am not thinking of off the top of my head.

TBH Prophecies wasn't meant to have Hard Mode too (and that is the real problem, since Prophecies NM is very easy even without heroes, pve skills and consumables)...
Promoting team play is good, but IMHO this isn't the right way to do it. As others have said, now a lot of players H/H their way through PVE, and play pretty much only for titles, so making a lot of those titles really hard (or even more time consuming) to obtain would probably cause a lot of rage quits. I'd prefer increasing the rewards when playing with other people instead..

Hell, THK and all the ROF missions are still filled to the brim with discoordinated noobs still running their pre-searing skillbars. If you want to play with them so much, you're free to, they're always LFGing and even the ones that have heroes can't use them.

I think some form of demise (fail) in PvE is the cause of this thread.
The OP just smacks of sour grapes. No-one forces you to do anything. The game was not downgraded in any way. Each and every soul that purchased this game has the same advantages, disadvantages as everyone else.
If there is something you dont like..DONT DO IT.

Weird, mine uses wards fine. His main problem for me is that he sometimes insists on using skills from punching radius and ends up dying in a glorious suicidal charge.

That would destroy PUG's even more - or at least what's left of them. Also, some of us actually like playing with heroes. Heroes are a game feature that is here to stay. It's far too late into the game and counter-productive to completely remove them from a campaign as massive as Prophecies.

While I am not a fan of heros, I would not want to see them get banned from Prophecies or Factions. The time to ban them was when they were introduced, not now. With the introduction of Hard Mode heros are now needed in Prophecies and Factions. I am sad to say that the balance of the entire game has been altered to support and encourge the use of heros. I think they are the worse thing introduced into Guild Wars since Factions; they are also in many ways. also the best thing introduced since Sorrow's Furnace.
I feel that they (heros) are a bad thing, but getting rid of them after the entire dynamic of the game has been altered to support them is a worse thing.

Considering the fact that any character from any campaign can get heroes if they've got NF/EotN on their account, and considering the fact that there's a direct portal from Elona to Tyria, and considering the fact that there's no restriction on Level 20's going back and running low-level characters through low-level NM missions like Ft. Ranick in 10-15 minutes SOLO, and considering the fact that each GW installment added new skills, including many OP PvE only skills, and considering the fact that any Prophecies NM mission can be easily completed with Henchmen, I don't see how restricting the use of heroes in Prophecies (or factions, for that matter) will improve game-play.

If you've ever run through proph with a non-core char ghen you'll realise what proph wasn't set up for. An imbagon and a Rit are hilarious together in proph. Do you want to ban foreigners crom Tyria as well?
I have a proph only storage account. Occassionally I'll run through a few missions with henchies. It's doable but it isn't fun. Rather than present a challenge it's just annoying. Good luck doing Last Day Dawns and the other Titan quests with henchmen.
Pretty much everyone has completed the game. Good luck with LFG like the old days. I used to love spending 30 mins getting a group together. That was rivetting.
If your idea is implemented, in the interest of fairness, groups with more than one human should be banned from the other campaiogns. Actually, human players should be banned from EotN altogether. The heroes can have that for themselves.

Being able to use Heroes in Prophecies compensates for the lack of human players, imo.
