anet do not want to go the way of aion

I have played guild wars for 4 and a bit years, recently unsubscribed to aion, i am finding that since the nerfs to farming(sf ob flesh ect) that temple of ages and major cities of trades have numbers of people playing dropped by half, previous to nerfs kamadan ad1 was hard to get into but now u just pop straight in, if anet customer service were to check server activity they would find a lot of customers have left which in turn could effect loyal players subscribing to gw2, aion has the same arrogance not listening to there customers and that game is failing in a big way, i suggest anet customer relatons actualy logg into guild wars and see for urselves what the nerfs have done- reduced the community by more then half, such drastic nerfs to all farming builds has only done one thing, made it harder to form a team of dungeons, uw runs ect, if this is the nc soft way of not consulting with the majority of players, i and many others will not be looking at other nc soft products but will switch to competitors games like terra online coming out soon, ect

I think its the other way around. Lack of skill updates alsmot killed pvp in gw.

You and the half that left are terrible if you think SF or OF were nerfed. I guess it's bad business but I'll be happy to see people that dumb gone.

Actually...they did listen to player complaints...specifically complaints about certain unbalanced builds...those people who left...yes the left..booo hooo...they were going to loose one half or the other in the end...I think actually nerfing said skills will help them in the long run...letting the skills continue will just tell the gaming community that they don't care about balance anymore (as I believe many were beginning to think by letting the speed clears continue for as long as they did)... I think that would hurt there sales overall because people don't want to play a game from a company that doesn't care about balance...

Then of course there's PvP...look at how many people were lost because of a stale meta? if anything it's a lack of balance which is killing the game...not attempting to balance a few overpowered skills...

and because it is obligatory for me to post this in every SF QQ thread...You're an idiot...

popular pve zones compared to pre nerf are dead, that is killing team building at the moment, i have not been in 1 sucessful uw clear since the nerfs yet! not many people are saying there liking the skill updates, majority have stopped playing !

So losing half the zones in a trading area in kamadan is a good thing, open your eyes moron, population has declined drasticaly since there nerfs, its only the few "so called pros"that are happy with it, population has dwindled to lack of content over the year, but not like th reduction of gw population over the last couple of weeks

I always lol when I see these so called "veterans" complaining and quitting because of nerfs. SF is still completely usefull in group aspect, you just need to learn to adapt and stop QQing.

We have yet to see any team builds in temple of ages for uw , only fowsc, might help if u logg into guild wars and have a look, also go to other pve area where dungeons runs were once popular..

Loose people of lack of balance or loosing people over adding balance...which is worse in the long term?

Not talking about uw (people just need to learn to play it w/o godmode) or fow. Still most of the dungeon speedclears are doable with shadow form or obby flesh. You just need to add 1 bonder and good to go. It goes without mentioning (hopefully) that DoA is still almost same as it used to be. You just need to stick your ass out of ToA for once.

This thread is about the largest drop of pve participation in the 4 years that i have played, if that is somehow a positive please explain how a mass exodus from guildwars benefits casual players like myself?

I share the same opinion and i pity those guys.

well besides increasing the overall intelligence of the guild wars population by removing a number of idiots...

and providing balance...

and improving the likelihood of a successful gw2...

and keeping the other half that would have left if there wasn't a skill balance soon...

Actually I beleive the largest one was they day Ursan got hit over the head with the bat.

On another note to all people complaining about the loss of players yada yada. The game is approaching its 5th year anniversary and as a free to play mmo the game overall has done something no other game in the genre has done. Been a succesful free to play. And as hard as it may seem every mmo goes thru this exact same thing. Heck even WoW goes thru this everytime there is a update the only reason you don't hear so much about it is because its a pay to play game.

Just do the math and be happy that guildwars is and will always be a free to play game.

5 years at 15 bucks a month about the same age as wow. Not counting the other games or expansions because the prices null each other compared to WoW and gw just the monthly rate.

12*5= 60 months *15 bucks a month= 900 dollars you saved by not playing wow. Now take that 900 dollars and
A. Go find something outside to do.
B. Buy a differnt Mmo other then WoW that has an even crappier community then gw.
c. Buy a gun. Buy a bullet. Point gun at self. Call a friend to come over and teach you how to pull the trigger.

i dont see the 'intelligence' of changing a 15 minute run to a 2 hour run for the same stale instance that has been run over the years, additional content, not "balancing' improves a stale game

that most likely because your are one of the people who had they left would have helped us overall

improving the intelligence by removing the people who can't see an issue with it

not balancing is what causes a stale game along with no new content...we are pretty much screwed in the content department so we are stuck waiting for skill updates to force us to change how we do things to mix them up rather then waiting for something new to do...

and if it took you 2 hours with balanced tour doing something wrong :\


edit: you also seem to be ignoring all the OTHER people who are against you... try taking a look at some of their arguments as well...maybe you'll actually read past the first line on theirs

I never played with those SC people in ToA anyway. As long as my guild/alliance is somewhat active, and heroes aren't removed from the game, I don't care if 99% of the people leave.

We really, really don't need another thread like this.
