Ectos and the Market

When do you think it will top out?
Do you think they will fall?

Essentially I'm sitting on a small fortune in ectos and i need to know how long to hold out before cashing in. I want to buy my sweets title during Easter, but waiting till then to liquidate could have negative consequences..

Any opinions would be greatly appreciated, please don't post to be funny, there are a lot of players out there who are asking the same question, whether buying or selling, and this thread could do a great deal to answer their questions.

As new farming builds are published for all important farms, especially the UW, the prices will begin dropping, but probably not to as low as it was before.

Potential future adjustments to Shadow Form will end up spiking the price of ectos again, and how far they come back down depends on how easy it is to farm the UW post-update.

you should have cashed them in when the update when live. they spiked to 11k at trader and that is probably as high as they will get. there where people buying them at 10k for a small window and then it went down to 8 fairly fast. I think your time to cash in and make big is lost already.

I'm pretty sure that Ecto prices topped out already. It didn't take long for the smart players to adjust their skill bars to deal with the new changes. I'd suspect that they'll stabilize around the 7k mark.

Same shit said as in the other 900 'wat will become of us now that SF is completely beyond useful now and 600/Smite is NOT dead?'. You just changed the wording a little bit.

I just sold all of mine @ 7k each today(7.5k at Mat Trader). Ectos will drop as more UW builds are made.

It's wise to just sell them now. SF sins aren't nerfed and 600 isn't either.

Been away since the update only to come back today. Reading through the update notes I got the impression Holy Wrath got a slight nerf.

For 10...26 seconds, the next 1...8 times target other ally takes attack damage, this spell deals 66% of the damage back to the source (maximum 5...41 damage).

Emphasis on the bolded part. Isn't that a nerf? What have I missed in the last 2 weeks?

From what I see, the same thing A-Net missed. A succesful nerf.

holy Wrath should just be a bolt of divine wrath ala, ray of judgment, but a non elite version. 5 energy to zap people for 30 damage, 20 sec recharge. make it a non enchantment skill. that'd be a successful nerf

SF should be, Lose Immunity on attack- it would get you to the monster you're trying to kill and nothing else. Sliver armor would also trigger the losing immunity part. it'd also make a potential good runner skill so it would still have utility.
anyway, since, this is about ectos and the impact on the market, I would say so far, the damage isn't that bad. I can just focus on one toon and use the funds I get from that toon from just playing the game to outfit somebody I choose to get obi and plop it in the HOM. issue over, no need for more ectos.

Even for normal play Holy Wrath requires a target to take damage and the more damage a target takes the better Holy Wrath is but taking damage in normal play is never a good thing. Besides with all the passive mid-line defense and Imbagons floating around Holy Wrath kind of sucks doesn't it? As far as 600/Smite is concerned that "the next 1...8" clause really kicks you in the nards. So again I'd like to ask, what have I missed in the last 2 weeks? Isn't this considered a nerf? I really don't see any reason to run Holy Wrath anymore unless I'm missing something.

Succesful nerf is what you missed, as mentioned before. Not dead gimmick build is not dead. Shall we move onto argueing SF? Brb checking wiki.

Edit: I have no idea what half that shit means, but my alliance is running 600/smite and SF like nothing ever happened. So according to them, unsuccesful nerf.

I would hold on to the ecto many average players have already taken their profits. The super wealthy players cannot take any profits, because they do not have space for the gold.

I am going to wait for the market to crash before getting into it which should be in a year from now.I would say at that point it will be almost dead.

Good point, by then, ectos should be as cheap as obi shards or ultra expensive. guess which level of pricing I'd prefer.

ROFL! Oh no it cant be used to farm i guess its useless now...Realy? the skill is STILL EASILY very usefull in PvE.
