They're about as rare as the Ox, which dipped as low as 20k after a couple months, then started a slow climb back up.

The tiger is a limited offer miniature, so prices are expected to rise after CNY. However, because of the very high abundance and the easy-to-get-nature of the minipet, don't expect to get rich from selling them in the next two years.

I'm with everyone else unless you're going to wait for several years you're not going to get rich from selling these minis if that's what you were really asking.

Far as how common they are, they don't actually seem to be rare or at the .33% of dropping from what I've seen within my own guild. I got one after opening 90 fortunes, another guild member after only 25 fortunes and we have another who has only opened 300 and now has 4 mini tigers. Perhaps it's all just dumb luck but the drop rate seems much higer then the .33 % that wikki claims and I've seen things on wikki that were wrong before. Is there a thread where anyone is actually seeing who got what and trying to get an actual average ?

So, why did the Celestial Pig went up to 300e+?? They're not just the same harder to get?

I see Celestial Tigers unded for 40-60k... I doubt it reaches more than 100k, but don't have idea on why the Pig did.

actually celestial pigs were different they didnt drop but rather you had to trade 4 regular pigs to receive 1 celestial pig thus making them imposible to get other than buying now a days

5 regular piggies = 1 celestial piggies....more work meaning you have to buy 5 pigs and turn it in. a LOT of work....REALLY

perosnally i think that .33 droprate is a lie. I managed( w/in about 30 foruntes) to get 3 tigers. And before that i got 1 in my first 20. i think perosnally( just based on me) the droprate is preety darn high lmao.

The .33 is an average. Go talk to JimmyNeutron.

the multiple ppl talking about this also left out the fact that ppl had to save those pigs from the year prior which made the pigs even more rare at that point.

but 673 fortunes = 5 tigers for me. some people just have better luck with em than others, ive seen people in ally open over 1000 and only get 1 or none.

Well, it is kinda documented on the wiki.

http://wiki.guildwars.com/wiki/Lunar_Fortune/Drop_rate

Sample size of 11,659 fortunes. Maybe it isn't exactly .33 , but probably not more than 1%

And that is offered up by a very small amount of people whos numbers may or may not be accurate or even true.

If I add in my data of 100 fortunes in which I got 1 tiger on the 10th one I opened then got 4 more fortunes which I got another tiger on the 4th that does what to the .33%?
Then add in more like that which I have seen several posts this weekend at least claiming to have had several drops in a small amount of fortunes and what happens to the numbers?

Not trying to argue here, just saying.
Just because you read something somewhere doesn't make it true.

87.4% of all statistics are made up {including this one}
That number goes up greatly on the internet.

And people's anecdotal "I've open 20 and got 2 tigers" is a much better way to base statistical theory on.

Look, you asked for numbers. We gave you numbers. You try to refute the validity of the numbers with NOTHING.

Sorry, not going to happen. Especially considering how valid wiki drop rate research is in other areas. And considering the shear size of the sample and the number of different people who have been involved in it.
