Chained Souls in tombs

Do the chained souls in tombs drop ectos? On the wiki it says they do but I have never seen one drop. Or is it just very rare for them to do so?

All monsters in tombs can drop ectos I believe. Though chained souls only drop items on the first kill.

yeah, u can't just kill it over and over hoping that an ecto will pop out ;-)

I won't say it's impossible but over countless runs in tombs and the UW I have never seen a Chained Soul drop ectoplasm. The only two things in tombs I know of that can drop ecto are Banished Dream Riders and Terrorweb Dryders.

Chained Souls do not drop ectoplasm. I do not know anyone who received one. If they did, it would probably be like 0.0035%

According to wiki they drop ectos. But that might be only for underworld.

Also I think they only drop loot after first death.

Wiki is not always correct. Chained Souls only drop loot on the first kill, just like any other monster that can be rezed. I have never seen them drop Ecto, and rarely do they drop anything but a white item (even in HM), and when it isn't white, it is blue. They VERY RARELY drop purples, never seen a gold. Scythes and Grasps do not drop Ecto, only the Terrorwebs and Banished Dreamriders.
