Scamming - Read . Very Important

I don't know if this is the right place to post this but apparently, for those who doesn't know, wintersday gift has the same skin as special present and stolen present (both quest items). I got scammed of 600k ( i know its not much but it is to me ) because I didn't know what the presents were and i forgot that the gifts were called wintersday gifts. And because of that, i'm leaving GW. besides schools gonna reopen. anyway this is just so you guys don't get scammed like i do

You should have checked if it was the right item before paying the scammer 600K, anyways hope you enjoyed GW.

Don't you check what you're even clicking "accept" to? Sorry but, I have no sympathy for this. It's like the people who click "accept" to people who enter 100g instead of 100k when buying ectos. WTB m0ar attention. :\

Hey, unfortunately, there are a lot of people who do this kind of thing. too bad you are leaving GW. Everyone makes mistakes even as simple as the one that happened to you. You should report the guy who scammed you and tell ANET the place and time that the problem happened. Who knows, they might do something.

And even though this is a very common scam, not everyone knows about it.

Yes, they will take account action on cases like this.


Uhm... Regardless. For a trade that is being conducted numerous times and the fact that they spent 600k is more than enough to make someone cautious if they are going to spend that kind of money. No matter what, if someone gets scammed then that is entirely their fault for not even bothering to check the trade.

Lusscius, contact A-Net. If you happened to take screenshots of the transaction, send them, too. Give the name of the scammer and the time/place it happened and the log of the transaction. You will not get your 600K back, but you will (with luck and enough evidence) get this guys account banned. At least he won't be able to enjoy your 600K. Good luck!
