botting in gvg (video)

Despite the fact that we can't do much about it, I will say that there is indeed a botting program out there to interupt any skill at any time.

I was skeptical at first because I had no idea how a program could do it. A neighbor of mine who also plays GW showed me.

The program modifies the GW.dat file and the graphics dll file then uses an extrenal client which allows you to choose which skills you want to interupt, with which skill on the skillbar, at what time.

By setting the delay factor to 0, with high fast casting, you can virtually interupt any skill - even .25. Most people put a randomized delay factor under 3/4 second to make it look inconspicuous. However, you can easily tell who bots as the bot cannot differentiate between the skills being used and the interupt used to stop it.

In other words the botting program may use P Block on Channeling because it doesnt know what channeling or P block really do. The program can also be used to use certain skills after the target foe uses a certain skill. It doesn't always have to be interupts.

As an example, if the bot sees an enemy warrior comming at you, the bot can use discipline stance immediatly after the warrior starts to use dev hammer.

Note that this bot is highly available and my neighbor showed me how to get it. But also note I highly discourage its use as it is illegal.

Note, the bot is so highly advanced you dont even have to be playing the game for it to automatically use interupts and skills correctly, save for the fact you will not want to be afk since you gotta move and kite.

you are right Jinkies, this is how it works, my guild mate is computer scientist who knows the working mechanism of these things

the program which can crack the GW.dat file while it is running is called softICE(http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/SoftICE) and is used to calibrate these bots (this program is not only used against Guild Wars)

i remember back then there wAS a guy called pablo, and he said he knew about the security holes of guild wars, maybe this was one of it

There's a much cruder version that i've heard of that having played against is probably what most are using, it just uses texmod to set skill castbars to one colour.

Then you can use scripts to detect pixels in the cast bar, when it registers the one colour you've set, it triggers whatever skill button you have set as your interupt.

you wanna see bots all you have to do is go to bergane hot springs that palce has had bots for many of years and yet still anet has never done anythign to stop them or shoudl i say a strong effort to stop the botting issues even thier

You're never going to get a response from a developer (never going to happen) or otherwise about this issue. So why cause more aggro? It just makes you look foolish.

I really don't care with the people here because most of them are ignorants. But I want to continue playing this awesome pvp without bots. So I am trying to drop in everything possible.

the "zoom-out mod" is awesome for PvP as well.

The "awesome" PvP in this game has long since passed so you coming here thinking you are super cool or whatever is completely meaningless and the idea of you talking down to people who may or may not have been around {you have no clue} when PvP in GWs was actually competitive makes you sound as foolish as I'm sure you actually are.

I am not a super monk. But I know what can be done in this game and what is impossible.

But as you could see in the last thread many people say stupidities like our great event-maker Patrishia. And yes I detest those people who don't even know what I'm talking about but still they give a negative comment. And I am very thankful to those, who don't have an overall knowledge of PvP and don't post in this thread, unlike you.

Even If this is a bot (which i am skeptical about) its not like there rupting 1/4s every time, so its not even that bad. I can get 3/4s almost every time and 1 secs every time and im using bad wireless internet. And the people saying " i r pro monk in top gvg and i no what can be done and cant" i really dont know who those ppl are(either bcuz they are like r500 or their usernames are not the names they go by.) Also when a team is whiping, monks will be spamming more, which means its easier to intrupt when randoming

Yes I am a complete noob, just bought the game and didn't even know it has PvP in it but I was still able to spot a complete moron pissing and moaning on the forums.
How could that be possible you ask, well I capped an elite forum skill that allows me to notice an @sshole by the words that they type and well here you are.
