I've recently downloaded TexMod to finish up the last bit of my Cartographer, but it doesn't seem to be working for me.
  • I downloaded it from the GW Wiki site.
  • Got the Elonian Cartographer .tpf file.
  • Put the Guild Wars .exe in the target application box.
  • Put the Elonian Cartographer .tpf file in the package box.
  • Made sure it was in package mode.
  • Made sure it was highlighted.
  • Clicked run.
  • Guild Wars runs, but with no changes.

Right now I have DirectX10. Wiki says atleast DirectX9 is required for TexMod to work so that shouldn't be the issue. I've unintsalled TexMod and the .tpf files and redownloaded them, that didn't work. Right now I'm just out of ideas on what to do. If you have any clue what the issue could be please tell me.

I have to ask the obvious question first. What changes did you expect? Did you hit "M" for the map and there was no change in the maps appearance?

do you have an actual DX10 capable graphic card? if not, then it will default back to whatever DX version your graphic card (or IGP) is capable of.

please tell us what graphic device you have. if your graphic device does not support DX9, texmod won't work, no matter what DX version you installed.

I've been running TexMod fine for a number of months, and after relaunching at around 13:00 GMT today it had stopped working..

I've just updated my nVidia drivers (Win7-x64, GTX275 card, so DX10) from 191.07 to 195.62 and it has magically started working again.

The 191.07's are from around September, so my only guess is a game update has done something

I'm having a similar issue. Long time Texmod user, got Tyria Cartography title with it, but I can not get it to work anymore.

I've re-downloaded Texmod, downloaded new .tpf files, updated video drivers to ones released in Dec '09. I've tried newer UI mods as well with no luck.

Using Vista 64, ATI Radeon 4800 series, its worked before on this system.

Edit: I've disabled my AVG [disabled service, rebooted, closed system tray app, no AVG running in the background], still no luck.
