The other thread title doesn't even suggest to me that it is about lag. More that they were going to say happy happy joy joy things about Kamadan. Perhaps they liked the decor who knows. Failure in title. I wouldn't have checked that thread even if I had looked in Riverside for the location to post.
I posted in this thread because it was in the most logical place. Seeing as this is a "Game issue" and this is the subforum for Game and computer issues (As per the description).
Either way: Easy fix was to not utilize America districts and move to Asia - Japanese or Korean or Traditional Chinese. There was zero lag that way.
Our staff are monitoring these issues on different fronts (server side, network side, etc.), and have taken steps to try and mitigate the lag.
Part of the issue is high numbers of players in districts, which strains the servers and can contribute to lag. If you are experiencing issues, try switching to a less populated district.
We'll continue to monitor and make adjustments to address.

Telling people *SEARCH* is a copout bullcrap response.
Below is the response to a search for Lag. The following errors occurred with your search: 1. Sorry - no matches. Please try some different terms. Very useful searching! |

So I'm going to pass on a pointer so that others can hopefully pass this along as well and some of you can know HOW to search. Lag is a very short word, it's not going to return any results because it's just too short. It's very server intensive to find such a short word in a huge database. If you have a short word like ohhhh... 'PvP' or 'lag' you want to search on try using a * at the end of it. It will return you results as the * is looking for anything AFTER that word.
lag*

If you want it to be more specific, as the default setting is to search within the posts and say you just want THREADS on lag then make sure you choose "Search Titles Only"

There you are, 2 full pages of 'lag' search results. This works on any other forums you'll encounter in the future as well.

I haven't been having any issues is in any dist except american and int dists...
r
well 30,00 and 40,000 ping is unacceptable in any instance
arena net has to be aware of the problem
why should we have to switch districts or anything
just porting to kamadan will and has caused me to crash out of the game on numerous occasions
my guess and it is only a guess is aion took all the servers and arena net intends for us to "put up" with this lag

I'm so sorry to come in here and do this but it needs to be said. Just because you don't know HOW to search doesn't mean the search on this board is bad or broken.

In fact, since your search results have timed out and no longer exist even your links of "Proof" show: Sorry - no matches. Please try some different terms.
Without foreknowledge that the results have simply timed out it would appear that it supports the notion that search is "Bad or broken" even after the admin shows up to respond.
I personally posted to this thread as it is in my personal opinion the most relevant thread in the most relevant location and doesn't require necromancy.
If you're having specific lag issues, you can report them to Gaile here. Make sure and include your server's IP (hover over the ping icon).
