Blood Magic

Heya, I know that requesting builds isn't allowed so I'll do my best to phrase this.

Me and my brother run our own modifed spirit way...

Me - Ebon Ward Protter
Him - Enduring Scythe Warrior
1MM
2 spirit spammers (offense and defense)
1 N/Rt healer
Blinding Surge ele

Curses spells like barbs, enfeebling blood, MoP etc are on the spirit spammers and MM.
The final hero is sometimes a second minion master or gwen depending on the situation but I really like Spoil Victor and sometimes make Olias a Blood Magic necro.

My question is is it worth it? Is blood magic powerful enough to warrant a place or am I better off going with a dedicated curses hero or something else?

I'd thought about Orders but the only melee character is my brother so I'm not sure that's worth it either.

Any ideas?

Blood magic alone isn't. The lifesteal skills are too expensive and take too long to recharge to deal decent damage.

Nothing stopping you from making a second N/Rt healer /w 9 soul reaping, 9 resto, 10 blood magic and throwing in BiP or SV or blood of subversion or br, or whichever skills in that line worth bringing.

The 3 primary resto spike heals (mend body & soul, spirit light, soothing memories) are so efficient even at r9 that I don't really feel it's all that necessary to keep it maxed. If you already have another life necro, you can just keep those 3 + flesh of my flesh + kaolai and will likely find enough soul reaping and blood skills for a decent utility build.

Well, the first thing I'd do is start by including Strength Of Honor.
I am guessing your spirit spammer also has Splinter Weapon and Ancestors' Rage? When I play on my assassin, I normally have 2 sources of Splinter and AR. It just doesn't make sense not to be covered by it all times.
I also stopped running minions on my assassin. When you have a guy in your party that has the balls to run and smash foes in the face - you do not need the wall that a MM provides. Pretty much the biggest selling point of minions would be that they trigger Barbs and MoP - but if your brother knows what he's doing, foes should be up and running long enough for those options to really play a role.
When it comes to Orders, if your bro is using Aura Of Holy Might that means he isn't dealing physical damage - which means Orders won't trigger.

I also LOVE bringing Gwen with me. Air Of Disenchantment is one GODLY skill.

Its really good support.

What I decided to do was scrap the Blood Magic line (no point keeping it for one skill) and swap it for Soul Reaping with Ivy Veins / Smite Support so I could maintain SoH on my bro. We're able to destroy targets pretty quickly so get the full use out of IV when enemies bunch.

I've got two copies of Splinter and A-Rage as always (on the MM and BS Ele).
