I agree with OP, there should be a mesmer spell that removes weapon spells, just like there is enchant removers and hex removers.
What other reason do people have to run a N/Rt restoration healer instead of a using a real monk... just because weapon spells can't be touched the rit. are so effective and the monks look bad.

Another example is Fort Aspenwood, while a monk bonder can be overrun by removing his enchantments put on an NPC , a Rit can't , because the weapon spells can't be removed.

any good monk can easily out heal a resto rt. Most weapon spells aren't overpowered at all, and the fact that you can't stack them?

Exactly - enchantments can be stacked, while rit weapon spells cant be. Thats why i see no reason for removing them. It'd be a waste of a slot on the skillbar ;p.

weapon of warding is op, nonremovable dodging is OP.
Warmongers weapon is WAYYY OP but nobody realizes it yet.
Necros or mes should have a skill that removes it.

When they allow weapon spells to stack, then they can bring a skill to remove them. Until then, there is no need at all.

+1.

What a stupid topic, weapon spells were designed to be different from enchanments and as mentioned they don't stack. Think before posting your whiny ideas.

Next up..... "we need a way to remove shouts/chants!". No, we don't. There is already balance in place for these things.

Shatter Storm (mesmer), rend enchantments (necro), or gaze of contempt , can remove a full stack of enchantments, there you go. On the opposite no weapon spell can be removed at all.

Only if we can stack weapon spells and every one of them gets a massive duration boost.

The only skill I think should remove a Weapon spell is Disarm. It would atleast be logic, but not needed.

Dulled weapon removes the ability to land a critical hit... it's not a weapon spell remover.

those are 1 sec cast spells
any decent ranger or mesmer can interrupt those
there are 20 weapon spells (GdW not included) and only 5 of them are 1/4 cast, all the others are 1 or 2 sec cast
(the 1/4 cast spells are: Ghostly Weapon (useless skill imo) - Weapon of Aggression (not a really good IAS) - Vengeful Weapon, Weapon of Remedy & Xinrae's Weapon)

Weapon of warding is the spell that gets bitched about the most. Anet has already nerfed/balanced it, it costs 10 energy which is costly as hell, plus there are skills in the game to get around blocking spells.
