Guild Wars Halloween Art Contest 2009

Will there be one this year? I have such an amazing idea but can't tell anyone unless i know if there will be a contest! xD

They usually wait to announce it until about 10 days before the actual event however, if I remember correctly.

I sincerely doubt it. They keep saying they don't have the time/staff for extra stuff, so why would they have time to judge this?

They've had that issue for the last two years and they've held art contests for both Wintersday and Halloween.

There's a difference between adding new content, which involves design, coding, implementation, testing, redesign, new implementation, and bug fixes that can takes several people several weeks, and sitting down for an afternoon leafing through the entries for the contest and picking what they like. That excuse is applied to labor intensive jobs that would normally take weeks to do normally, not things like art contests.

Perhaps this time they will do a super mega special awesome contest for halloween and new year and reward us with something incredible from gw2, like yes! like HELL YESH!

considering they put a ad for their art book on the login in screen and has never besides the one clip gave us gw2 info they wont do it. besides that would mean they would have to be nice to us lowly peons. xD

I just want a minipet I can sell for about 1 million platinum.

Wow, even less prizes available than last year. I would have thought since they have so many digital items available to choose from they would have more winners and finalist spots like 2007.
